When my son was very young, people thought his paintings were the work of a prodigy. He focused on self portraits. I wish to hell he continued on in the later years. Here's a sample, one of my favorites;

My wife is going to give her mummy a re-haul. We propped and wired it up (heavier than shit) against a willow tree which stands at the edge of the lake. The kids are getting out of school, she wants to be ready. Parents just love catching their kids off guard when fishing off shore. We hear screams and crying to laughter. It's about seven feet tall,leg,arms,the whole deal.
