You know, I feel like you must not grow too well yourself. Because you clearly don't have weed, or the stuff you have sucks. Because if you had some, you would be high, and if you were high you wouldn't get so damn worked up over what lights some random dude on some forum uses.
! A guy growing 10 5 foot plants with 8 candles and 5 LED flashlights should be treated with as much love and respect as the fellow using 25 1000 watt HIDs. 
cfls do work i never said they didnt.. but when some one is using over 600 wats of cfls... thats just rediculous... and just to let you know cfls put off more heat than hps per watt... i have used cfls.. and they really arent worth the effort you have to put into it, like constantly moving lights. i just think people have a misconseption about hps and how how they get too hot, yes, they will get hot if you have a 400w in a small unventilated space, but a 150 watt hps is much better for a small grow than cflsPrimera, you usually don't have too much negative to say. What gives? Why rip on other people's methods? For most of the people that use CFLs, HID is not likely an option. I bet my closet's temperature (in an apt that I can't go cutting holes in for ventilation) would have averaged 100+F with a 400w HPS. Bottom line is that we should support each other whenever possible. Ripping on someone for the light they use is childish, inconsiderate, and assinine. Don't do it
Anyhow, back to the purpose of this thread. These pics are 57g I took off one of my plants. This plant had about 23g taken early (80g total off this plant). Total harvest from two plants = 127.8 dry grams. Check out the grow for more pics. If you can't read the scale the top cola finished at 20.9 dry grams.

wow.. are you serious?? you cant be serious... so how much dose my 400 watt tv use,, is it different than my 400 watt washing machine???
I did my grow with 400 - 500 watts of CFL's. It was my first one, and I'm certain I could have grown more plants with greater yield had I had more experience. Moving the lights around does suck - bad. The hottest it got after I added a second fan was about 81 degrees.

oh how about this mate, i dont care how much the electricity costs il pay it as i do with all other houshold bills, my conditions dont allow an hps im in a cuppord with no ventalation hence the need for these cfl's. heat is simply not an issue for me at all in my setup, which is ideal as my place is always very warm, and i think that these cfl's are doing exactly what they say on the tin for me anyway, some fatt ass percy smoke
