I agree, Ive seen some CFLS do some cool shit, and ive seen HID lights do cool shit. This thread wasnt about discussing which is better. Thanky you.

CFLs DO HAVE A PURPOSE!

If you want hope look at my journal...I dont even have an optimum number of lights. We'll see how the buds turn out

I'm trying cfl's for 1st time. I know that mh or hps are better but I live in a bachelor apt. and would die of heat stroke before my plants flower. Never mind burning the place down...

CFL's are just fine, esp. if you are doing a personal grow. If I was gonna grow in any sort of bulk id probably invest in a HID, but I'm loving what my cfl's are doing

I used them fine for vegging, then about 2 weeks for flowering ( while waiting on hps). It works, things are just real slow.

i grew that under 30 40 watt 2700k
i yeilded 1.2 grams and only had to flower for 15 weeks,....

Dude you are cool, some of these people think they are weed gods. CFL is worked for me, I am sure they could have been better, but I used very little power and got some super smoke, but I do it for pleasure and not A PRO DEALER... LOL .. party on CFL
This bud had 3 weeks 2 go. CFL only!!!!!!!! And my profile pic is CFL
