Show Me What You Got LST?

Here is my last experiment...

Part LST.. part HST... part madness... and a whole lot of support from the RIU community...

Here they are at about a month in...

I ended up pulling just over 2 lbs from all 3 plants...

Hydro.. ebb/flow + top feed... 18 gallon pots...


















and here they are.. closer to harvest time...






































What do you guys think???

This was my first indoor grow...

Alright Gypsy I gotta know... How the fuck did you do this bro????? I'm confused... Can it be done in siol cuz it looked like that was a hydro stup up ya?.....

Oh and thanks fellas for the info about the HPS guys..... I can't go the 250 direction cuz I think it'd be to hot. I may just have to stick with CFL's untill I move into a house...

ok i have read through 14 pages of this post and gotta couple questions:

is lsting worth all the trouble? these girls look so awesome and i'm guessin you all pull off more weight than if you hadn't lstd

how much weight could you possibly pull from these girls?

i think im gonna try this with my next batch

Bro you act like LSTing is a whole lot of work, it's not... All you have to do is make a couple ties here and there and your good, it's really fuckin easy! And I GUEARENTEE (<<<I'm hign, and can't spell, lol) you I would not have near the yield I'm going to have if I hadn't LST's. I do it to all my plants, ti's the shit! And it's really easy, it'll look bad at first sometimes, just let it grow after yuo tie it, it'll be good.

i agree that lst has it advantages but yield is about alot more than just lst, strain,light,heat,humidity,nutes etc i have read a few lst journals and have gotten bigger yields myself from untouched plants.

Sure it can be done in soil... and yes that Aerogarden is hydro... DWC to be exact...

All I did was to flower really small clones and I LST'd them so they would get better light coverage and stay even shorter...

The biggest plant was 6" high by 13" wide... that grow gave a zip and a half...

As for strain... they are all BAGSEED...

wow never seen an aerogarden ganja grow, thats awsome, also never seen such small flowered plants, some dont look like they even got roots though

I had more light than what you see... but yeah.. the AG is just a very small DWC set up... under-sized and undepwered...

And the roots you speak of, were chopped, those pics are of the buds hanging...lol.. (upside down )

There are TONS of pics of that grow here on RIU... but I did erase some from the beginning....

The experiment was growing out big plants...

Between the AG grow and the Tree grow, I specialized in Single Cola SoG...

So this was something NEW and exciting for me.... 3/4 POUND per plant vs my usual 14g per plant...

and dam a o and a half aff those small things

Actually.. no... I think SOG is the way to go.. VERT SOG is even better...

It was pretty exciting for me... but there are people here, like Mblaze, that get 2 or 3 pounds per plant...

The Aerogarden is a DWC Hydro with a pump to "top feed" until the roots reach the water...

Nothing "aero" about it...

I was fooled too...lol.. hence the title on the grow...

Even the new ones ditched the water pump and went with just a bubbler... which is still DWC Hydro...

i wouldn't say Dwc... more like Swc... nothin deep about that

everythings has been untied since veg i believe. hows it look ? Any idea what my yield will be? I have a 430w son argo bulb with a dwc diy setup. 1 bluedream 3 SFV og kush. 3 week veg from clone

When is it too late to start LSTing? I've got a few right now that are in week 2 of a 8 week flower, and about 18in with a few hairs/nodes poking through.. is it too late to try this out?

Nope you can LST whenever the hell you want to... LST = *LOW* Stress Training, causing hardly any stress at all...

I see no slowed growth whenever I LST, just make sure not to break the stem and you should be good.

also i wouldnt bend as much since your in flower, but u can still do it, but u should be fine at 2 weeks, they dont really train as well in flower as in veg cuz in veg the branch will bend and take shape in flower the stems are harder so its more like pulling them to the side, oh and i will be doin a lil bit of lst to my new clones also, i threw them in 5 gal pots today gonna veg them for 2-3 days under th 600 on a 18/6 only cuz i dont trust a 600 runnin 24 hours, evrty one should check out my new grow below in the links
