not really

i was out building a little fence when i saw their pit run off on them at least 3 or 4 times. they have to do magic to corral the dog back every time. they need to just put the fucking dog inside. it should never be out front. he does this at least once a week

a few minutes later, i hear shrieking. at first i assume it's just kids yelling, but the shrieks grow more and more hysterical. so i go out to examine.

fucking pit has a yorkie by the neck, full clench. i know it won't do anything but i smashed the pit with my drill. the whole time i'm thinking i should have doubled back for the bucket of water, so i did.

so i drench the fucking pit and he releases, the owners have him tackled, and this poor lady who was just walking her yorkie down the street is in absolute shock. dog was limp and bleeding. pit probably snapped its neck. blood loss wasn't too major so i'm yelling at this lady to put pressure on the wound just in case the dog still has a chance.

a neighbor happened to be driving up and offered to bring the lady and her dog to the emergency vet which is luckily only a half mile up the road.

my wife was out there sobbing because she imagined what could have happened if the dog grabbed our daughter the same way. told the neighbors she was gonna call the cops if they didn't. an old lady threw a leash in the direction of my wife, i nearly punched that old lady out. they kept swearing their dog was a nice and gentle dog. my other neighbor just shut them the fuck up and said their gentle dog just murdered another dog.

animal control got there 10 minutes later. the poor yorkie was dead. the pit is gonna have to be put down. the neighbors are gonna probably face some pretty nasty criminal charges as well as getting the fuck sued out of them.

i'll be happy to go to court for either a criminal case or a civil one and throw those pit owners right the fuck under the bus. it may be a nice dog and probably is but the owners were negligent and now that poor lady has a dead dog and will be traumatized for life. fuck them
Irresponsible dog owners are irresponsible.

The simple problem is this: The republicans control the Senate. So even if the congress starts impeachment proceedings, they'll never go anywhere or result in anything.

When that happens, they'll look even more stupid than the republicans did against Clinton because it'll all be seen as a colossal waste of time, money and resources.

The only thing that pisses me off is that they're more concerned with their image than they are in doing what must be done. You don't just fight the battles you know you can win. You fight the battles worth fighting, win or lose.

If you don't, in the end, nobody has any moral high ground in this debacle.
Isn't more like you fight battles to win wars? I agree with you that there is little point in wasting resources to win a battle that accomplishes nothing. It's wars that are worth winning and battles should be fought with that goal in mind. Right now, impeaching Trump with the Senate still in firm control by Republicans would waste political capital without furthering the goal of getting the corrupt fake Christian anti-democratic Republicans out of power.

that's basically what it boils down to

their negligence could very well be criminal

i'd gladly testify that it was
I have a neighbor like that. I've talked to him and pointed out to him the aggressive behaviors his dog is exhibiting and like the guy in your post, he's not oblivious, he's in denial. I'm building a better fence to make sure the fucker can't get into my yard but I don't know what else I can do until that dog does something bad. By then, too late. I'm just taking steps to make the victim not me and mine.

I'm not going do anything illegal so, idiots, please don't post "poison him" but if there is some legal action I can take, I'd like to hear about it.

That's why the Dems MUST move to impeach.
The majority of Americans know now that Trump is a cesspit, I think they'll understand if the Dems do their job, seeing as the Pubs have no interest in reigning him in.

160 million people are on private healthcare. 70% of whom say they like the plan they are in.

It doesn't take a fortune teller to be able to say that 112 million people aren't going to be happy with being forced into Medicare. Sanders plan is a nonstarter. Won't happen. If Democrats try to foist that healthcare plan onto those 112 million people, Trump will win. Simple as that.

Medicare buy-in option is the better policy.

You Progressive left are showing your authoritarian core. It does help explain your kind's support for brutal dictators. Those people they killed had it coming, right? Counterrevolutionaries must die. right? The cause is more important than the individual. Right?

eff that.
put down the meth dude..

all kidding aside, be very careful and build your fence..i had an innocent dog bite last year when my beloved Lilibeene had a Gran Mal (thought it was over and went to pick her up) on my hand that turned into full blown blood poisoning in less than 12 hours. went to the ER and they said i wasn't going anywhere- the streaks had already appeared to my wrist which they circled to keep track and by the time i got to my room, those streaks were 3/4 up my arm. i was there for a week with a hand the size of a catchers mitt. most ortho surgeons i come to find out don't want to deal with dog bites for follow-up surgery..every once in awhile it starts to swell and i think there's still something going on in there since the dog went right down to the bone between my thumb and index finger.

Wow, way to quote yourself spouting nonsense.

How long before the big "show" do you expect Bernie to call it quits? Will it be rigged because somebody else won? How will you use your vote to help Trump? Will you be heeding Tty's call to firebomb hedge fund managers' mansions or will you contain your contribution to democracy to Lyft canvassing?

it's called cognitive bias. We all have it and people have to be aware enough to discount data that matches pre-conceved beliefs.
Opinion polls (do you like or who would you vote for) track sentiment but aren't great predictors of elections.

Your theory that those polls are used to manipulate the vote is bunk.

No one should need a poll to tell them that Bernie's bill to force 100 million people from a healthcare plan they like into Medicare without a plan for how to pay for it is political suicide. I have no idea why your kind think that is a winning policy at the polls. Except maybe you are crazy.
