Should I use the sf-1000 or 2000 for my 2x1.5X3 grow cabinet??

Sup guys getting ready to toss these hot ass lights out my grow space and put in the spider farm sf-1000, but I checked the dimensions of the sf-2000 and it would fit perfectly in my rectangular space.. will it be to much light? I feel like the sf-1000 being more square shape won’t cover plants unless I raise light wich I won’t be able to do.. any advice for my 2x1.5x3 space? The SF1000 will flower a 2x2...but your setup really looks too short to have that particular light in there. The sf2000 recommended distances for seedling is 24" and veg of 18"-24" and 12"-18" for flower....you won't have enough space between the canopy and the light. Even a smaller mars hydro ts600 may be too much for that. You could throw a t5 light bar set up in there right against the top for roughly a 3rd of the cost...that can get very close your your plants with out effing them up.

They are dimmable. It can be done. If the 2000 fits and you plan on using all the space go for it. Have you even mainlined a plant before? You should read up on it. Coco for cannabis.com has a nice short article with steps to get a quick summary. I did the same type of training on my current plant and the canopy can fill a 3x3 tent at only 11” tall, but it’s in a 5 gal pot. I’d look for a rectangular planting bed that fits in there. Something low profile to not kill you on vertical space. It should be a fun ride. Tag me in if you start a journal on your project/grow. I’m down to pull up a chair.

Right exactly what I was thinking.. but I’m not planning on growing my plants over a foot and half. Was gonna use scrog net to keep it down and train tf out of it. Pretty much a micro grow. That being said could I get away with the
sf-2000 or is it too much?

I personally think it is too much, but feel free to do what you want...You can dim the light but you only have 2ft to work with. You have to take into account the size of the pot + the size of the tree + the space the light will take from the top of your cabinet + canopy space. Let's say you use a 4in pot, + 3in light now you are down to 17in of space, add in a 12in tall plant and now you have only 5in of space between the light and your canopy. You will have to turn down the intensity of your light as it gets closer and matures when it should be getting more intense light. If I were spending $300 on a light, I would spend another $60 and get a tent or find a taller location, or buy a less expensive light geared for a small space.

Down to see what happens though!

If you have any plans to grow into a slightly larger space, like a 2x4, in the future go with the SF2000. You can dim it to fit your needs for now, but you can't increase a SF1000 over 100% if you need more light later.
