Should I use led for next grow?

Hey guys, I am currently growing an auto flower. I have 3 68 watt cfl's. These cfl's are the real big ones and put out a lot of light. The thing is, I know when growing with cfl's it takes a little longer for the plant to grow.

I'm thinking of getting an led for my next grow but I don't know if I will need it.
I was looking at the california led's because I heard cheap led's suck. This california one is around 400 bucks.
If I do this do you guys think it will make my plants grow much faster?

For example, I am growing an auto that takes 8 to 9 weeks to harvest. I think using my clf's it will probably take around 12 weeks because of insufficient light. I want to be able to grow the plant in 8 weeks not 12 or 13. So do you guys think I should make the invenstment?

And the answer to your question is:

8 weeks is definitely better than 12-13. Right?
So the real question is, can you afford it? If so:

even the worst, cheapest LED beats the best CFL for many years now. The $3-5 LED bulbs you buy at home depot are more efficient than the best CFL

What do you think about the mars hydro 300 watt led. It's cheap but it's the best seller on amazon for 300 watt led's.

You can grow with any type of light, results rely on many factors. Regarding lights, this is one way to look at them:

Floros - Bicycle. Will get you from A to B but not very fast. Still faster than walking.
HID - North American domestic truck. Will get you from A to B in decent time. Not very good for the environment but can bring in big hauls if you want to pay for fuel.
Generic Chinese LED - North American domestic sedan. Provides basic driving functionality and may possibly have high maintenance costs if you get a lemon.
Branded LED based on Generic Chinese LED - North American domestic sedan that has been tricked out with spinners and ground effects. Often sold by used car salesman types.
A19 LED Bulbs from Boxstore - North American sport compact that can be cheaply and easily upgraded. Definite over performer and easy to obtain.
DIY COB - Asian sports compact tricked out for what is popular/believed to be the best performing components at the time. Mainly hobbyist focused.
Branded COB vendors - Asian sports compact. Shortcuts the DIY part for those less mechanically inclined.

Figure out what your budget is, how much space and power you are going to use.

HIDs and florescent do a great job of growing plants and are getting better all the time.this is why you see them in garden centers and you don't see LEDs there.they are simply not cost effective. most commercial cannabis growers still use HIDs and the new LECs ( high pressure CHM) lights are the hottest selling item at local hydroponic shops.LEDs are new and sexy and they work great for home lighting. I've replaced all the bulbs in my house with them. I have tried LEDs for growing plants but always ended up going back to my T5s. the only way to find what works best for you is to try different options til you find the best one for you.

not trolling just challenging a false statement by a previous poster.I will ignore your childish and immature insults. I have grown with both.
