Im almost 2 weeks into flowering, I trimmed once when I started flowering. My book says to do it again after 2 weeks. Should I, or does this take away from flowering. i have some big leaves

I trim once when I go into 12/12, and once again 4 weeks into flowering. I always remove the big ass fan leaves from any budsite :)

you never want to trim leaves. their purpose is to absorb light for the rest of the plant. the buds themselves do not absorb much light (only green parts of the plant have chlorophyl) so exposing buds does no good.

Yeah, I do it twice. First I get rid of lower branches that look like they will end up getting shaded too much (my plants are pretty crowded). Then in a couple of weeks I go around and get rid of new little branches showing up underneath in shaded areas. I do leave the big leaves alone though.

never trim any leaves except the one that die off. you can bend or tie them to allow light to get into the bud areas, but the plants use the leaves to generate growth and flower development.

never ever ever take your fan leaves off!!!.. you can loli pop your plants which is fine and that is removing all the undergrowth that doesnt produce anyways but if you take the leaves off your pant than there is nothing left to create the buds through photosynthesis which is what the leaves do . That would be like getting a stomach staple to gain weight lol
