jondamon doesn't understand concept and design. you obviously never been part of a research and development team. sorry, but you're not qualified for the R&D team. maybe you should stick to customer service and follow the handbook guide. There are positions in my company outside the R&D team. They are called drafters. They take the design given to them and draft it up and follow standard operating procedures because they don't have the talent to come up with new designs.
Lol I was doing R&D on your profile to find out what skills you have.

Nice LED tech from early 2000’s youre rocking in the veg tent.

good luck but to be honest with you now I’m putting you on ignore because you’re a jumped up pompous little dick head who probably still lives at home with mummy and daddy and only hopes that one day he can get a job killing other people’s plants instead of his own.

if you ever visit the U.K. get a message out to me on here I’ll gladly show you some R&D

I just checked my company's website. There are open positions as a drafting tech, construction laborer, and sales representative. You'd be a good candidate for those positions. Positions such as data scientist, risk management, designer, architect, and engineering don't seem like a good fit for you.

I’ll stick with my network managers job thanks lol.

Harping about who is the best burger magician at McDonald’s R&D brings nothing to thread’s point.

Run 3 grows ( bags or whatever) , use simple soil medium. One plant ran normal ( baseline ) , second one ( bowl cut as you like ) , third one ( defoliant ) .
Only thing gleaned is which plant can handle stressors. Run a journal- we can read crayon and stick figures.

Plus zero reason not to share ACTUAL grows here cuz why join then ? My agents have no interest in your grow.

because this isn't about my current grow. this is about concepts and experimentation and i haven't even applied it yet. asking for pictures of my grow is just digging for criticism without even knowing anything about what strain i grew, techniques, if it was clones or seed, etc. so please give me a reason to show my grow while staying on topic. lets not try the trump technique and divert the topic into something else.

No criticism … that’s the irony. Believe it or not some here want to help with your experiment.
BUT …. When it becomes a kindergarten then we bring out the kindergarten toys.

Chop away.

Please post the final results. I'm more of a development guy, but I can do a little research.

I don't have many on ignore, but he just happens to be one of them.

I have literally went off on people here for being assholes and talking crazy to people. ( for this reason) I’m going to try to say this nicely. We are not all meant to grow. If you don’t know how to research something well enough to learn the basics on your own (such as defoliation) maybe you should consider buying your smoke n leave the growing to the adults. I mean…. Look shit up guys. There are so many outlets out there for research it’s ridiculous. Stop being lazy and do your own research.

Add more light …. First tip .

Not sure if your last post was being sarcastic, but that stretch alone is telling. Not bashing blurple at this point , if that’s what you got … been there done that. Notice lack of lateral growth.

and how should i do that without investing in a new light? like i mentioned my veg area is right by my computer in a 2x2 space using my Chinese blurples because i dont want to throw it away or invest in a new light. i can't put my grow by the window to get the light from the sun, because there are always cops outside my window and growing is a criminal offense.

Lights “ main footprint “ is actually between those 2 DWC buckets and your plants are in the fringe area .
If you ran one DWC under that space plant would be in under the max coverage.
Also whatever your light choice is the actual draw will be less than advertised. Therefore you would have to compensate for the limited coverage.

Even if you “ doubled “ up on same light , canopy coverage would be better for all plants you have.
Later you can entertain an upgrade on both grow area and gear. No need to continue being salty.

i understand that it would be light efficient if i grew only one plant, but i want to mainline two plants. and maybe use the clones from the cutting in one gallon pots to go along with the two mainline plants once they are ready to flower.

i have 10 more weeks to go in my flower zone. if i had stronger veg lights (which i do not feel like investing in), they would grow too fast with the limited space i have, unless i move my veg area somewhere else (which i have no space for).
