Has it occurred to you that asking experienced growers for advice is, in fact, a form of research? Besides, there's a ton of conflicting information out there about growing cannabis, and especially about defoliation. Having an actual conversation about a topic can be quite enlightening.
I have in fact realized that asking experienced growers is research. I have also noticed that if you do no research on your own and come asking for help you are lazy. Just my opinion.

So you’ve maximised your current growing methods and can’t get any higher consistent numbers after changing environmental variables such as Co2, Temp diff changes, nutrient requirement changes?

Or you just want to fuck about with defol techniques To see what happens?
I want to fuck around and do experiments. there is always something new to discover in science and medicine, but some people don't want to go beyond and come up with new ideas and innovation.

How do you know he hasn't done any research? It's quite an assumption. Either way, chiding someone to "do their research" when they are, in fact, doing their research really doesn't accomplish much, you know?

I agree! Although…. You should consider doing it where it hasn’t been done. The leaf tip thing has been ran through a lot. It doesn’t help buy cutting tips. Just facts.

innovation isn't a thing for some people, and once something works for them they keep it that way instead of going beyond.

Oh I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were the moderator in this thread. I’ll try to keep my opinion to myself and let you give him some sage advice.

this question applies to all grows and not just my current grow.
I know someone who cuts the tips of their leaves but they are a Guerilla grower with massive balls.

It helps blend in their plants with the scenery.

Detroitwill is a follower, and not an innovator. LOLOL. This is the difference between company directors and techs. Directors are innovative and techs follow the standard operating procedure.

Then why the fuck are you clipping the tips? Are you scared?

Cut between the veins of the leave's fingers ( ridges ) and turn it into a fern. Leave the leaves in tact and watch your side shoots :blsmoke:
