Should I top plant 15 days into flower?

My thread is actually in the CFL section but I have a big problem that is a general issue so I hope someone can give me some advice. My plant has gotten so big the top bud has hit the top of my cab and is sqeezing against it. My buds look great and I am unable to move the plant any way or tie it to give more room. My question is: Do I cut the top of the plant and allow more energy to the rest or just leave it to grow into the cab and get squashed. I just don't know what to do. So tight in there I cant even take a pic. Let it get too big :? https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/682235-all-cfl-grow-stealth.html

I think it's really a judgement call on your part. How big is the bud? A main top, or a smaller less significant flower?

Some growers remove lower, airy buds during flower in an attempt to divert the plant's energy to the bigger buds. Others (like me) aren't totally on-board with butchering a healthy plant, and tend to only remove fan leaves blocking light to some of the flowers. There is no rule that says you can't remove buds from a flowering plant, but some might argue that it could stress the plant. I say if it's really bothering you, chop it.

Personally, I wouldn't chop the bud in question. I would leave it, trying to 'steer' it along the top of the grow box towards as much light as possible, and try to move it a little every couple days to allow air to circulate around the bud (to prevent excessive moisture build-up). The unfortunate truth is that this (like most slight growing errors) can be chalked down to a learning experience. You'll know the size restrictions of your grow box better now than before you started your grow. You'll know how much the strain you're growing stretches during flower, and you'll know not to let it veg for quite so long next time.

I, too, have had a plant outgrow my box. Some buds were getting scorched by the bulbs by the end of the grow because they were touching, and there wasn't anything I could do about it, apart from wait for harvest time, chop it, and start again.

Let us know what you decide. Also, post a pic so we can see the culprit.

Peace

cool thanks :-) What is super crop?
super crop....take you index and thumb and place them on the stalk near the top..gently squeeze and roll the stalk between your fingers and help it bend over without snapping it..it will now continue to grow normally but sideways now..

Well I cut it and smoked it. oops :-) The plant is doing amazing everything else has grown heaps and the bit of extra space at the top is making it much better. My next clones are ready for flower as soon as this one is done in about 4 weeks and I will make sure I top them first if needed. Thanks for all the comments guys it is very much appreciate. Updated pics in my journal or on my thread in the CFL section.
