should I top my plants in a vertical light grow?

I've just started growing with my lights vert and the plants in a circle around them on shelves that are three high. I assume that I don't top my plants with this style of grow but have not been able to find much info on this.

Do most vert light growers top their plants or not?

I am vegging with book shelf looking racks (I made) that tilt the plants (about 45 deg) and there are five of them. I'm really happy to see so many plants in the sweet spot of my light.

i really think its about how the plant grows and not what set up you have. i grow vert and i have many typs of plants some that need to be choped and tied down and some that need nothing. i tend to see sativa type being the one that needs to be toped.
