Does it have a distinct musty mold smell to it or small white spots? if so its moldy and could cause a lung infection. But not die from it. LMFAO but I have smoked ounces of mildly moldy shit and been fine. But everyones different with different tolerances..

It can make you pretty stomach sick if you smoke moldy cannabis. You can also give yourself some pretty nasty respiratory/sinus problems from it. A lovely variety of molds and funguses can grow on cannabis

I work at a cafe/bakery and it's sorta like bread: when you buy freshly baked bread, it has some moisture to it and if you leave it to sit in the bag for day/weeks, it'll go moldy (depending on how much preservatives are in it such as salt, at my place of work, we don't put any preservatives in our baked goods and its all organic so maybe there is a connection to how your cannabis was grown, if the person who grew it used chemical nutrients which are usually saltier vs. organically grown, etc.). To see if its moldy you can check for black spots, white/grey stringy web-like matter, dark green spots, etc. Moldy pot

It can be easy to mistake mold for the crystalline structures that naturally grow on cannabis. They are natural to cannabis, they're a crystalline structure and appear as white crystals on the cannabis itself. The key there is WEB-LIKE material. White/Grey mold is usually very webby.

In conclusion, I'd throw it out if you found any mold on it or use it to make iso hash. It wont give you any serious medical problems if you smoke it (unless you're immunodeficient with AIDS or a medication that causes immunodeficiency), in other words, if you're immune system is not in good shape, you can give yourself some problems with infection. Other than that, you'll probably only get signs of food poisoning smoking moldy buds as it can make you sick to your stomach with vomiting, headache, possibly fever, and just feelings of crappiness
