Yea

CFLs dont use up alot of power and generate little heat.

Whether you should or not is a debatable subject. Some people swear by 24/0 for veg, others 18/6. Some even say differences are minimal and the only difference is in the electric bill.

Well I'm not payin for that lol I might turn it off for like an hour a day just to let them rest a lil and to cool the top of the box off

Get a timer..
Just run it 24/7 or 18/6 on a timer. DOnt try and plug it in and out. you might fuck the grow cycle up. You only get one shot at growing that plant.
The guy at the grow store said the first two weeks of the plants life is the most important. But dont try and play god, just buy a timer.
You remind me of when i was 13. I try to sneak a grow past my step dad. I gutted a dresser and nailed the boards back on. He saw a crack of light coming out of it when someone turned my bedroom light off. I should have thought of light leaks from the beggining.

MG plant food for Veg and MG bllom food for flowering. has all the nutrients and microbes and essentials needed for plant life. A box is $4 at Wallmart. You can also go with Shultz plant food. All are available at Lowes.

5 lbs of mg plant food? Thats a lot. lol... You must have the big box with 5 sleeves in it? Make sure it's plant food and not lawn food.

and before anyone blasts me for recommending MG ferts, I use FF myself. I was only answering the question for the cheapest. MG will do fine. Use half of recommended mixture, because it is chemical and can burn. I would use 1/4 dilution for very first feeding. Only feed every other watering, every 3rd watering if you water more than twice a week.
