sHOULD I JUST THROW THIS AWAY?

I was germinating my last California Orange seed and when i went to check on it..it had feel so when i go to pick it up a very small piece of the tail came off ....should i keep it in the towel for a couple days or just put it n2 the soil...or is it over 4 this seed....did my best on showing it

You clipped off the growing root tip... Ive never seen that happen but I would recommend just starting fresh. Not sure how much u paid for that seed but when its so young like that youre essentially ripping off half its "body" lol.

What can it cost to at least try it? Pop that sucker in a small pot and let it go. It'll either grow, or not. But if you just toss it, it most certainly will not grow.

Looks to me like your paper towel is way too wet. Ive had problems in the past trying many of the germination methods mentioned on all the forums. For the last few grows I have stopped doing anything extra, I just place my seeds directly into the soil(tip down) and just keep the soil wet. I have had 100% success since with about 5 dozen seeds so far. Works the same for hydro, just go straight into the rockwool but keep it in a sealed container to retain moisture until it pops up.
