should i harvest early?

Ive got 3 plants and im going into my 8th week of flowering. I just found mold starting to grow in the AC unit used in my grow room, so im considering cutting down early in hopes i can stop anything from growing on the buds if it hasent already.

most trichs are milky, none amber, most pistils are orange/red. do i take the chance and let them finish the last week or two, or cut them now?

I would say to wait a little! To have around 10/15% amber and around 90% of milky/white trichs

Oh i just reread and well if you have mold and you are certain that its mold yes chop! It will ruin ur crops otherwise or try to have the lowest humidity level possible

i know for sure its in the strofoam on the vents of the Ac unit. i was worried that the mold spores would then attach to the buds after blowing in from the AC

i do not know if there is any on the buds. ive looked with a magnifying glass, and tried to look inside the buds as best a si can. so far so good

If it is mold IN the A/C and not your BUD, leave it and wait. As mentioned, they are 2 different types of mold attacking.
If the mold is in your bud, only chop off affected area's and then monitor for the last few weeks closely.
Keep an eye out for dead leaf matter and twigs, do not allow your humidity to go over 60% (especially during dark, keep the extraction running 24/7).

But the best advise is what has already been given, wait a while and monitor them. ;)

A magnifying glass is not needed to spot bud rot, look out for discolouration on buds, dead leaves and twigs sticking out of buds (the mold will take hold inside the bud and work it's way outwards).

if there was a way to sanitize the A/C without damaging it id look into that, maybe move the plants out of that room so once the unit is clean you can air out the room to avoid getting whatever you use on the buds.

if you could move them to another room so they get at least 10% amber that would be more ideal, but setting up another room could be a hassle.

there is for sure some discoloration, but i do not know if this is normal as the plant is coming to the end of her life. several leaves are turning yellow, and some have brownish spots on them. a few of those are coming out of the main cola....

here are a few pics, and see if a trained eye spots something i have not. for certain reasons, im unable to ever get pics without the hps on, so dont mind that please...IMG_0307[1].JPG IMG_0308[1].JPG IMG_0309[1].JPG IMG_0310[1].JPG IMG_0311[1].JPG IMG_0312[1].JPG

A dehumidifier and or a carbon fan filter can both combat mold spores.
didnt know carbon filter did that, good to know. and it looks like they have pH claw, maybe cal/mag from the looks of that yellow spot. a good flush would probably help and pH your runoff so you can adjust your water's pH accordingly, then give them some nutes.

after looking at your pictures I would have to say wait bro. I still see a hell of allot of white pistols. You want those white pistols to recede and turn brown, all over the plant. By that time your trichs should be right around where you want to take a plant. :) hope that helps.

ive been feeding the full line of fox farm nutes, according to their schedule, as well as adding in a tbsp of molassess to each g of water. soil PH is holding steady around 6.5. all looked good with the leaves until this week when the buds blew up in size. they easily doubled, if not tripled in size.

I really want to get this grow over with. I used known strains of bag seed to grow, and the one is taking up 3/4 of my grow tent. that bad girl is not meant to be an indoor plant. the big girl is power flower, the medium one is mango kush, and my smaller one im almsot positive is master kush.

yeah they all tend to swell later in weeks in flower. You should see allot more of a swell. According to those white pistols im seeing. Molasses is a good thing to add. your ph is right where it needs to be for soil growing. (well that's where I keep mine) :) I understand wanting to get it over with. I really do. However you dont want to pick to early cause all the hard work you've already put into it will be wasted bro. I would wait if I where you. Im telling ya, if you chop early the buzz your looking for wont be there. also she might end up tasting like grass if chopped early. You dont want that.. Im sure.

if i know the crap in my AC unit isnt the same as what could take hold on my girls, im good. as much a si want it done to be able to pick and choose strains, im not going to chop early if theres no reason.

im guessing i have maybe 2-3 weeks of flower time left?

MILK.. lol to kill your mold issue. Take and out you some diluted milk in a spray bottle & mist that shit. It will kill it if its PM (Powdery Mildew) which is what you want to keep away from your ladies. ;)
