should I go by tricome maturity or plants overall look?

My plants seem done, the pistles have receded and the buds look swollen but I'm seeing half n half clear to cloudy and a very small amount of amber. LLik less than 5 percent. Also it's almost two weeks ppast the strains due date.. just looking for a little advise, thanks..

Some pics would help if you can post some up of the buds and overall plant. I go by the overall ripeness, typically that ends up being mostly cloudy and some amber coming in. Here's a couple that I'm watching for reference, they have 4-6 days to go.

I like to go by the over all look of the flower. Some strains don't amber up
Like others do. You're doing the right thing by watch the pistils. I watch for pistils to receed into the bud and very little to no new white pistils coming in. Pics would help us

i would say that's pretty close, within a week anyway. this is the time to check trichs. i don't look for ambers that much, but i do look to see how many are clear/milky. i don't want to see over 5% clear, or it's not ready yet

Yeah, that what I'm looking for is as much cloudy as I can, I just had to ask because they have been looking done for over a week and I just wanted to make sure I didn't wait to long.
