Should I get rid of some of my fan leaves?

I had made a post earlier this week about my dog goin' NOM on my plant. Everyone was very helpful, however ive been letting it grow as suggested but these fan leaves look and feel in bad shape, should I leave them or cut em off? I mean, some are barely even leaves anymore.

Damn! The worst. I would cut'm off, your plant can will recover just fine.

Plants use leaves to transfer light energy into bud simply put. The less energy the less bud. I'd leave them.

Yes. Any amount of leaf is still undergoing photosynthesis. Those leaves are way bigger than seedlings leaves (cotyledon) and look what those produced

Even the one that is basically just a stem? I just do t want my plant wasting energy on those

Funny yeah everyone knows all about photosynthesis. The truth is light pruning helps bushy plants in veg and increases yeilds in flower. You can prune a plant before flipping to flower and watch how the lower sites sky rocket.
Its takes a little bit of experience and experiments to find the truth.

Those leaves are damaged and dog saliva who knows.

Man I pop fans off all the time. I don't even use scissors. Just thumb and index finger and snap it off the trunk. Or trim whatever suits you. Just don't do it unless you think it's necessary. In your case they are dying anyway. It will regrow more as young as that one is. I pluck em halfway through flower and even longer if they are crazy vigorous and regenerate into a bush. You'll be fine. Only if necessary tho. Don't go nuts like I've seen dudes do. lol. It's true. One dude trimmed everything to the buds I saw once. LMAO! Wanted the plant to only focus on growing bud. lol
