This is my second grow. I'm using FF soil in 5 gallon fabric pots and Mars ts 1000 lights. The strands are cookies kush and monster gelato. I have done mainline training and have 8 colas on each plant. I'm on day 22 of flower and I want to know if I should defoliate more than I already have. Some ppl say do more some ppl say I should've done less. Can someone please give me feedback. Thank you

They look pretty good to me. Looks like your getting good airflow and light in there. I’m not a pro though so might want to see what others say. Those are gorgeous plants.

I'm not the best grower around but, here is my criteria for plucking leaves. Is this leaf touching another leaf? If yes then one of them needs to go. Is this leaf in the shade? If yes it needs to go. Is this leaf shading a growth tip ( bud site)? If yes then it needs to go.

Defoliation is an unproven technique like flushing, boiling your roots, putting a rusty nail through the stem, etc...
"Unproven" works both ways. There are plenty of growers on here who defoliate. My plants have lots of leaves afterwards. I get buds. They are frosty. Yields has gone up since I started growing. I've also let my plants go natural. Honestly I don't see a huge difference either way, but my plants have never developed bud rot when defoliated, and I have very little larf these days. So I don't know. I'm going to continue to do it. Grow however you wish.

Ok great I'll keep that in mind in regards to two leaves touching. I usually just take off anything with a long stem on it

The reason why I don't like leaves to touch is because during the dark period the plant respires and releases moisture. If leaves are touching that moisture can build up and give PM ideal breeding grounds.

So is it possible to remove too much foliage in your opinion? And what is your opinion on the pic I posted
Of course it is possible to remove to much. Your plants look good. Maybe just trim the tips of the leaves lower down where they are touching buds. But not the entire leaf. You should know tho. Defoliation will increase total time to harvest. So just be aware of that.
