Help! what's wrong with my plant?
It's my first, thanks in advance.
well, don't cut anything off yet.
answer these questions.
what kind of soil is that, how much of what are you feeding them,at what ph? what kind of light are you using, and what is the rh and temp of your grow area?
that doesn't look like a very big pot, it could probably stand to be repotted into a pot at least twice that size, three times would probably be better.
why are you throwing stems in the pot? don't you have a trash can?
really i think you might be having some issues with it being root bound, try repotting it into a bigger pot, and look at the roots when you're doing it, make sure they're healthy looking
I say repot also. I can’t see how it could be root bound yet tho I think you have something wrong with the soil and als have over watered it some in the past. But I don’t know anything about soil grows so keep that in mind
Thank you, for the soil I'm using miracle-gro potting mix and some soil from the yard. I water it every time I see the soil getting dry, I use distilled water not sure what the pH is sorry, I also read somewhere that I can use miracle-gro fertilizer so I spray I time to the soil every time I water maybe I'm doing wrong.
For lighting I only have for now a single 15 watt cfl, the rh over here base on the whether is 84 in the mornings and 62 in the afternoon, I don't have a humidity meter so I don't know the rh in my house, the temperature I always keep it at 72.
I can definitely get a bigger pot but wouldn't that make the plant grow bigger too?I'm not looking for that I want a small plant.
My bad for the stems on the soil I didn't think I could be bad for the plant.
In general I know everything is a mess I don't know how it even made it so far.
Thanks again for the help.
You need better soil, and must learn to make pH adjustment or it's just not going to give you best results ?
Miracle-Gro soil and Miricle-Gro fertilizer is not a good combination for growing cannabis. It works great for petunias and other flowering annuals but you'll need to transplant into a better soil if you want to make anything of that plant. It's pretty burnt up but still salvageable. Given the right care you would never know it's the same plant in a month.
Thank you everyone
Any recommendations for a good soil?
I make my own medium. 1-1-1 peat coco perlite then amend with dolomite and feed thru the water. I get a lot more for my money that way. But you have to let it set moist for several weeks a before you use. I see a lot of people talk about fox farms ocean forest but I know nothing about that. You need to check out hempy buckets.
Yard soil big NO...
Do you spray your plant as it looks like water damage to me. Or burning from the MG crap.
I've been spraying on time to the soil every time I water it. But almost everybody agrees that MG its crap so I stopped doing it. I'm thinking on transplanting it to a better soil I just need to find the right one since all I have close by here is home depot.
I attached an image it has gotten a new set of leaves since I stopped the MG fertilizer.
The new growth is looking great and that's the main thing.
I'll use my trim scissors to snip away the damaged bits on the leaves then it's easier to tell if it's still going on or not. Don't have to be fussy about it but on a small plant the healthy portions are still making food for your plant.
As you want to keep the plant small you could just snip the damaged leaves off and that won't hurt anything.
Distilled or reverse osmosis water has no real pH of it's own so you don't have to check pH until you've added something like nutes to the water.
That won't hurt nothing either.
