and by god those are HUGE cfl bulbs! how much did those cost you? unless you had em already might have been cheaper to get a couple hps's. lol

it is had the lights too far away for the first month and a half or so, after i moved it down it started taking off. Still not growing the way i'd like so that is why I am getting HIDs

yep, a couple hps bulbs will do even more than that, but thats a very good one too! many props! i personaly prefer HIDs ...less wiring and shit lol i bet u have over 100 meters of wires there

the plant i have right now was growin in ma mates grow cab unda' fluros and it was growin so damn S L O W ! now for less then a week, there is a lot of new growth and i can notice the things are gettin better and better each time i look at her(knockin on wood)

your gonna love having an hps...i changed to a 600 and was amazed!...now i have two and wow!...whats as important and light is the size of your room being matched up to the light u have...80 to 100 wtts per sq ft is ideal and will not leave u disappointed....i would veg ur plants till you see pre flowerrs...now that you ordered a hps let the plants get accustomed to the cahnge b4 you flowewr

Yeah I plan on veggin her for atleast another 2-3 weeks with the MH then changing the light cycle, once she starts buddin I am gonna switch to the HPS. The room I have it in currently is about 2 1/2x4x5, my new room is alot bigger about 7 1/2x7 1/2x5, not sure what that is per sq ft

yeah you gotta have flouros like right on top of the plant and I didn't find that out for awhile, all is good now.

an hps for example that is 400 wts...in a 4 sq ft room which is 2 x2 gives you 100 wts per foot...u divide your watts into how many sq ft you have...u can have a decent grow with 40 wts per sq...50 is what most people have and when u go above that...u strt to see the bigger buds...light intensity also determines how thick and dense ur buds are...alot of ppl grow big buds but they end up being light and fluffy...the closer you can get your light without burning them in the last few weeks of your grow will also benefit...hps usually gets about 20 inches without burn...with the right cooling though, u can get as close as 8 inches...if u have the time check out my journal...its a ittle lenghty because i just kinda threw things together...once i did things the right way its really noticable in the pics...

I've done 7 grows in my house and two outside my house at a friend's, over the last 4 years. Everytime, every grow, I added more bulbs. I'm a CFL man, to be Stealth from any heat seeking helicopter, and to keep my electric power bill down low. With 1300 Watts, I still do not see any major increase in my power bill, and I do not need to Vent for HEAT. And with the Clamp Refelctors, they are easy for me to move around. I can put those CFLS two inches close too. I use 4 65s, 4 85s, 4 105s, and 8 42s.

How many CFLS's do you use to veg.? I am ready to go into veg and have a combo of Red, blue LED's, (3) 2" x 4' CFLS blulbs, (5) 1" x 3' CFLS and (3) 75 watt bulbs. I am trying to grow them sea of green style with shelving. This is my first grow and I am sooooo excited.
