I have never used 1 in the past I supported my larger branches, by bracing them off the stem itself. I've headed work successfully, however you do get cracks somewhat often.... Taking away from. This is not an issue at this moment, as I'm trying to LST the best I can however I've come out over the bucket. It's a healthy girl. She been topped once, just growing out now to the second node
