Should I be able to get more than one plant in this 60x48x24 tent?

The obvious answer seems like yes, but let me be more specific.

Hanging from the roof (inside) i've got a carbon filter that's about 6" x 18", which obviously takes up a lot of space. The ducting runs through one of the holes up top and the fan sits on the roof of the tent and pipes outdoors.

Directly underneath the filter I've got a Mini Sunburst 150w HPS with a Hydrofarm light cooling kit (basically an adapter to attach a dryer vent to the top of the light to suck away the hot air).

[I also have two 150w big ass CFLs in two spectrums I could use, but I'm reading I can use this HPS the entire time with an auto and not really experience that much of a difference in size, since it's a 55 day flower period.]

I've got a separate 4" x 8" carbon filter/fan combo in the tent raised 12" off the ground about even with the top of the pot. I want this for odor control. By routing the smaller fan up to the bigger fan, and attaching the light exhaust to it, I've created a vacuum effect to it suck heat away, in addition to any odor.

See attached.

To be honest, I think i've got this all wrong, all the way down to soil type (but I do have tons of nutes left from another time). Maybe that pot is too big for one plant (CMC Auto Massassin)? Maybe too small? I'm going to LST it though.

Sorry for the lengthy post!

I'd move that BIG filter at the top sideways and straight out the tent.

Whats the round thing on the floor?

Here is how I did my DIY Carbon Filter that's about 18 inches long.in a 2x2 tent.IMG_0497.JPG IMG_0498.JPG

I grow 3 photos in a 2ft by 4 ft closet using 5 gallon fabric pots. as long as you keep them short don't se why you can't grow atleast 2 good size plants in that space with proper scrog

The fan and filter that's on the stool I'd relocate ouside the tent (suck air out and blow through filter) OR try to get it rigged up high and tight to the ceiling . my $.02

Oh, yeah, that's a spare fan/filter on the stool. The idea was to keep it close to the plant for odor control, since that's a big factor here.

I just tried to relocate the big fan sideways. I think it's too big. The tent claims to be 24", but I just measured it and it's about 20-21" on the inside! The filter BODY is 18", but with the mouth/lip, it's 20". I can keep trying until I'm certain it won't work, though.

Dude that light and filter on a y will not work. You will suck smell through the light. Just disconnect the light from the fan. That 150 wont get that hot.

When giving dimensions you state length, width then heigt.

I run over 400 watts in a 2x4x6 with no cooling shroud. My temps stay below 80. Sometime 81or 82.

Here is a picture of 2 plants in 5 gallon pots in a 2x2x5 already stretched and started to flower. You can see that two plants in a 2x2 is a lot of plants......The biggest thing is height at the top and planning stretch for a shorter ceiling.PICT0824.JPG

I was always told to put the filter before the fan, so the fan sucks air through the filter and then exhausts fresh air out. Are you saying to have the fan ingest dirty air and "push" it through the filter?

Use one filter and fan in the tent. The other in the room outside the tent.

You can push or pull air. Phresh website says either.

Yeah, they work both ways.

Yeah suck air through the filter and exhaust.

Shit, I see exactly what you're saying. I'm not sure why it made perfect sense in my head.

Ok. That's exactly how it's listed on the cover of the users manual, though.

Ok, I'm going to go back and re-engineer this thing and check back up with you guys later with newer pics. Hopefully you can help me square it away before planting. Thanks so far guys!

It's 48" x 24" x 60" then (length x width x height).
Lol. No problem. Just when I read the title I thought that was a weird size tent.

Get those cfl in there to when the plant gets a little bigger. Use one filter and fan at the top. Heat rises. Use the other to scrub the room the tent is in.

Roger that - I'll take pics of the other CFLs, too, so I can get some guidance on where to place them.
