Just a warning. I've heard several reports on the Short Rider not being a true autoflower. Not certain myself, but figured I'd mention it.

Nirvana's Short Rider is a hybrid of our discontinued marijuana strains Top 44 and Early Special. Top 44 has long been a trade favourite because of its ability to produce commercially worthwhile amounts of strong, skunky buds in just 44 days of flowering. Even though Early Special itself lacks this characteristic, its Siberian Cannabis Ruderalis genes give Short Rider the unique ability to "autoflower" - to flower independently of light cycles, like lowryder. This means you won't need to maintain a strict lighting schedule for these marijuana seeds - they will flower regardless! These seeds are a must for cannabis growers with limited space or who simply want to finish extra early. The quality of the weed is amazing considering how little time it takes these marijuana seeds to finish.

this is what they say about it on the site

so are the short riders not a good deal? cuz im reading mixed reviews
Mixed reviews....appears nirvana is getting rid of some failures.....Nirvana is known as a reputable seedbank but those short riders may be an exception........

Here is some short rider. Some phenos are not auto. This one is 12/12 from seed and 2 feet tall. She stinks like a skunk in a pine tree. I took off a premature sample last night and I am happy for my first grow. Check out my grow, I am flushing now and close to harvest. If I can answer anything for you, send me a pm.

To be honest, I have 5 more seeds and don't plan on growing them again. I may just accidently drop them at the spot I go fishing. heh

I have grown some short rider and my batch were auto-flowering, quite high female ratio on regular seeds, but don't blame me if it doesn't :P

Here is one of the comment in the Nirvana shop on short rider, I guess once it start flowering you can change the light back. and again, don't blame me if it doesn't :P

a friend of mine buy 40 short rider regular seeds and they not autoflower but u can easy fix that, from 40 seeds 38 germinate and onli 4 autoflower in 26days,after 6 weeks no autoflower and he change the light program from 18/6 at 12/12 for 1 weeck, they start to flower and after 1 weeck he have 23 female and he change the light program again back to 18/6,the buds explode beleavme verry agresive buds grow and onli 1 female torn in hermy, the harvest was 760grams dry yeld, pls escuse my bad eanglish .hope that this information will help u (Posted on 2/17/10)

Not a stable strain, not a true autoflower. Some of the phenos will autoflower while others will not. A true autoflower would not be clonable and would not revert back into veg, which short rider can. Some of the phenos are autoflower and some of them, regardless of auto or not, are just horrible. Not the most impressive stuff and, in my humble opinion, there is a reason why its on sale. It does however grow quite bushy and is suitable for growing wide short plants. It has its uses, but if you want consistency or something amazing, this is not the strain to buy.

Sorry guys.

Also, im fairly confident that when you switch back from 12/12 to try and use a longer light period, many times the short rider will stall and start vegging again. You may get lucky, but from what ive SEEN and of course read, I would bet against you actually getting what you want out of this plant.
