Short Periods of Darkness Ok for Plants in Veg?

So, I got clever with my stealth setup and bought a remote control socket switch :D :D

Every time I hear someone coming downstairs I can click the switch, and bam, off go the lights and the fans (which are pretty obvious). Will having 5-10 minutes of darkness here or there mess anything up?

Its not ideal but shouldnt be a problem during veg, just dont be so trigger happy during flowering

You'll be fine. As long as you keep any period of darkness less then 10 hours you shouldn't have any problems.

The plants don't keep count of how many hours the lights have been on throughout the day.

To trigger flowering the plants need 12 hours of continuous, uninterrupted darkness.
