Bbhp smoke report
Now that I’ve had a chance to smoke some fresh and cured meds I should throw up a quick report.
I want to say ahead of time that I had low expectations because I admittedly was a blue dream hater and didn’t think it could live up to the hype I had never felt was warranted. Apparently this sat dom blue dream pheno that bodhi used was way more potent then the samples I’ve tried from dispensaries up here.
Pheno 1 (whorled phyllotaxy) 63 days
Looks:
This one was a fun one to watch grow with it’s abnormal growth.
Super solid dense buds with a nice even coating of frost.
Great structure and solid branching these bbhp required no support or help.
No noticeable color change with this one other then the early fade. Good calyx to leaf ratio
Bag appeal 8/10
Smells:
during flower was faint berry dank
Grinding it up is more of the same bb and pepper undertone 6/10
Taste: is exactly as the nose advertises smooth light bb with just the right amount of hashy jam to it. 8/10
Effect: is very reminiscent of the other hp crosses I’ve grown. Very fast hard hitting muscle relaxer. Doesn’t take much more then a minute or two for you to realize that it’s just the beginning as your brain starts to soar. Very very heady and it continues for a solid hour and a half. 8/10
Because this plant was seeded to make f2 I didn’t bother weighing it but in comparison to other non seeded plants I’d say it yields like most other hp crosses and expectations of an oz per gal are easily attainable.
Pheno two 61 days
Unfortunately the reddish purple colour on this girl didn’t seem to make the transition to flower. Still a pretty plant that showed nice color early on and like it’s sister seemed to be super solid and sturdy. This plant didn’t branch out the same way as the first but instead focused on making its lower nugs as frosty as possible.
Another easy to trim plant with good c/l ratio
Bag appeal 8/10
Smell: was more berry but not really bb or raspberry I’d say it was closest to blackberry during flower on stem rub.
Not a very smelly pheno u less u touched it
Putting a nug in a grinder released a tart berry chem smell

Taste: Not very berry at all. This one was oddly closer to black licorice mixed with dryer sheets and is borderline unpleasant

Effect: This is where this pheno really shines. Much much more heady sativa buzz then I’m used to. Seemed to really have no ceiling and It took me by surprise. Immediate obvious buzz is noticeable within minutes and lasts a solid 2 hours before you raid the fridge.

Not as good of a yielder since it was a single cola plant but not horrible either.
Last pheno 63 days
This was the most unassuming pheno in the bunch and probably the most sat leaning.
Didn’t have as much noticeable frost as her sisters but still had the same dense solid nugs. Super easy to trim

Smell: During flower was sour berry on stem rub and another one that would go unnoticed by nose alone til you touched it.
Grinder fills the room with heavy berry dankness.

Taste: Amazing... bb candy with lip smacking after taste. Pretty much the embodiment of every overhyped blue dream description I’ve ever read.

Effect: much like her sisters with her quick delivery of jaw dropping goodness. This was my favourite of the bunch. Mid joint this one hits you in the face and creeps up on ya, like a warm blanket on a cold winter day.
Lasts approximately 2hrs and ends with a short nap

All three of these finished to be much more potent then I expected and everyone I’ve smoked with has asked about it or commented about it. Would recommend this strain to anyone looking for something with just enough body relaxation equal parts head high.
Totally changed my mind on blue dream at least when crosses to my favourite male.
Thanks goes out to the kind soul that donated these to me to run and even though we didn’t get as many seeds as I would have hoped I’m confident that many many great plants will show up in the progeny.
