I recently bought a grinder on ebay. Do you think it's safe to ship it to my college mailroom?

Yeah, you will be fine. There is no way you will get in trouble for such a purchase. Plus sellers on Ebay are good about private unmarked packaging as to give no idea as to what is in it. As for the post office, they could care less about a grinder. I would not send anything to a grow location however. Anything at all that would be in question!!

Same as above, if incriminating activity, beyond typical use is occurring in your dorm, do NOT send there. Doesn't sound like it is, so realistically, you have no worries. However, as soon as any resin or residue from use of the grinder is there, it is now paraphernalia. Depending on your state, local, college, etc. this may be illegal. If you want to ship and/or travel with grinder in future, you must wash it. Probably best be is to immerse in rubbing alcohol and let sit.
