I recently moved. I have as few small outdoor. 5 gals. But where I have them. They only get direct sunlight 6 hours a day. From 6:30-12:30 the sun rises at 6:00. the weather channel lies lol. The rest is indirect light. It still gets light. But the sun passes over. There is really no where else to put them. This is my own 2nd outdoor ever. Ive had shared ones where they get sun all day. But not like this. Will they be ok growth and yield wise. It is pretty dang hot 80 in the morn. 90 by noon. 100 by 4:00. I'd imagine the shade helps with the high temps. They don't seem to be stretching at all. No drooping either. Leaves are praying most of the time.

They will probably grow a bit slower, I have about 15 in a patch that gets about 6-7 hours straight sun, then 6ish hours of indirect sun and shade. The ones that are in the patches that get mostly sun, are a bit bigger than the ones that are in the patches that get a little less direct sun. I also have about 7 that are in a spot that get mostly sun all day, and they are chest high. the others are about knee high (because they have less direct sun) they are also a little less branchy

Will flowering time take longer then? I do move them in n out to keep 12/12 because of city lights and what not.

I don't THINK so, but I am not an expert. My thought process is that it needs a certain amount of light to vegetate, and if it gets less light than that, but it still gets ambient lighting (shade) than it will still veg, but at a slower rate. after the amount of outside light diminishes, it will flower, and it will probably flower a little less than if it got full light for 12 hours, then full darkness for 12 hours. It still gets full darkness. the quality of light that it gets is a little less because it is shade light. Get yourself a light sensor, you can get one from home depot for I think 10 bucks. see what it says. In my area, even in the shade it gets a lot of light. Maybe you'll be that lucky too. It depends on how dark your shade is I think, but complete darkness for 12 hours is what it needs to flower, and you will get that. It needs complete light to reach its full flowering potential

I have a few that get about 3 hours less direct sun because of thier location. They're a little smaller (4 feet instead of 6 feet) but seem unaffected otherwise.

they won't yield as much as in full sun, but not by much. flowering time should not change at this time of year. GL
