Shade for My Plants

so it's bright and sunny here in so cal, about 84 degrees, and I have questions regarding shade for our plants. what does shade have to do with light cycle. the picture is too show the exact shade I'm talking about. So there's direct sunlight, shade, and darkeness. and then the point of between non direct sunlight, and right after sun sets. what do these do for plants? is shade considered darkness in light cycle?

Shade is not darkness. Shade is less light so less energy the plant can harness

Truth. Indirect sunlight is still light and not part of the dark cycle.

is there anyone that uses shade to their advantage? when why and how?

Yeah i do ..if its hot i go to the shade to cool down

I have a shade cloth on the greenhouse for the times between 12-3 o'clock. Just to help during the 120° days. I have a light and foot candle meter, and there isn't a reduction in foot candles but does keep it cooler.

I have shadecloth for the above reaons to ^^^^
