Setups for maximizing Nevada's Seven (7) Plant limits?

I think gifting between cardholders may still be illegal.
First off I have to say that I'm not a lawyer and don't play one on the internet.

That said, if I have a cutting from the one plant I'm growing and I decide that I want to give it to my fellow patient or caregiver who are also registered card holders operating within the law instead of growing it myself and I give it to them for free I can do that. I don't think it's legal in the strictest sense of the word to share. It sits in a very gray area but it does allow for an affirmative defense. Which is much better than not having any legs to stand on.

NRS 453A.310 Affirmative defenses.

1. Except as otherwise provided in this section and NRS 453A.300, it is an affirmative defense to a criminal charge of possession, delivery or production of marijuana, or any other criminal offense in which possession, delivery or production of marijuana is an element, that the person charged with the offense:

(a) Is a person who:

(1) Has been diagnosed with a chronic or debilitating medical condition within the 12-month period preceding his or her arrest and has been advised by his or her attending physician that the medical use of marijuana may mitigate the symptoms or effects of that chronic or debilitating medical condition;

(2) Is engaged in the medical use of marijuana; and

(3) Possesses, delivers or produces marijuana only in the amount described in paragraph (b) of subsection 3 of NRS 453A.200 or in excess of that amount if the person proves by a preponderance of the evidence that the greater amount is medically necessary as determined by the person’s attending physician to mitigate the symptoms or effects of the person’s chronic or debilitating medical condition; or

(b) Is a person who:

(1) Is assisting a person described in paragraph (a) in the medical use of marijuana; and

(2) Possesses, delivers or produces marijuana only in the amount described in paragraph (b) of subsection 3 of NRS 453A.200 or in excess of that amount if the person proves by a preponderance of the evidence that the greater amount is medically necessary as determined by the assisted person’s attending physician to mitigate the symptoms or effects of the assisted person’s chronic or debilitating medical condition.

After reading this, I couldn't agree with you more on all points. I am so happy to have found a forum with approachable members that truly care. Thank you all for the input

I know there's tons of posts on this site regarding seed distributors. But I'd love a recommendation from someone on this thread if anyone has an opinion.

BTW, my wife got a Dr. Referral today from "The Happiness Consultant" AKA THC. It was quite painless.

I have only ordered seeds once, from the attitude, had no problems. Seeds got to vegas 6 days after i ordered them. make sure you get good seeds from a good breeder. Attitude doesn't breed seeds, just distributes them, some breeders are better than others.
I would recomend any TGA subcool stuff from personal experience. here's his website with good descriptions of everything.
www.tgagenetics.com. There are other good breeders out there too. i've read good things about barney's farm and nirvana and serious seeds, and some others but can't personaly vouch for them. there are other good seed banks too, I have read good things about nirvana and sannies, but again, I can't personally vouch for them.
If you find a strain you are interested in, put it into the search feature on this site, and someone has probably grown it and you can see how they did with it.

good luck with your grow, let us know what you go with.

Cannabis seeds are illegal in the United States. That said, I can vouch for Nirvana. There were no problems at all as far as ordering goes and I'm very happy with what I got from them. The stealthy way they mail things is very cool.

Do you mind posting the procedure and price of the referral? If not, PM? Thanks!

Referral is $200 if u have medical records or $300 if you do not. It is all about the cash. Was super easy. My wife has migraines which cause SEVERE and CHRONIC PAIN accompanied with NAUSEA. The doc circled the bold words on the sheet and signed it. Done deal. Took no more than 30 minutes and she did not have medical records. Also, we called for an appt that morning and got one the same day in the afternoon.

Dr. Reefer does referrals for $200 w/o records but the doc was out of town when we needed the appointment.

Hope this helps you out. My advice is don't be nervous. Its all legal in yhe state and everyone welcomes the business. Just keep in mind that NV is a "grow your own" state. It even says so in the application.

I do have legit reasons as I've had 2 knee surgeries from repeatedly tearing the "big 3" in both knees due to HS sports. Thanks for the advice! Now I just gotta go dig up my medical records. Do you think copies of my MRIs would suffice?

You can order from canada, lots of places ship them to USA still. Order from Spain these guys have there shit together. I got seeds from Mandala in 10 days and they have stealth down pat. You will laugh when you get them.

Mr Boots knows of what he speaks, the key is you can grow as big as you want but no more than 7 plants. I am limited to 25 plants but I now get twice as much as I stared out with when I had 45 plants. The key is to veg long and top them to keep them around 24" when you go to flower, they will be huge. Get a good Indica, this is for pain right? You might want to check out Dr. Atomic Seeds, he only does 5 different seeds but does them very well. Have a look at the Shiva and NL. NL is a great first choice as it is hardy and very easy to grow.

X- $50 for application-$300 doctor referral (no records)-$25 for notary and finger printing-$150 to submit application to state-Not sure about the DMV but I think its $12 or something nominal

Woody- Thanks for the recommendation. I was thinking NL. Also wanted something more "exotic" to maybe cross-breed it with. Thanks for the tip on Veg...Will have to try that

Xbuilt- Just read your earlier post-I definitely think you qualify as having "severe" and "chronic" pain. Not sure about the medical records but I'd bring them. Wouldn't hurt.

$50.00 for an application to get into the program, $200.00 - $300.00 for the doctor's appointment/recommendation, $25.00 for notary and fingerprinting, $150 when you submit your application to state, and $12 to the DMV when you pick up your card from them. Sheesh. What a racket!

Thanks for all the advice, bro. I think I'll have some time to make an appointment this week.

There's a pretty good article on MMJ in the 12/2-8 Las Vegas Weekly with the cover being "OG Kush" wrapped in a prescription label haha.

http://www.seedbankupdate.com/ This site is a seedbank review and it tells you the rip off ones and the good ones.

The Attitude is my favorite bean site as they have freebees a lot of the time and it's always nice to get some different strains to try. I wish I could help you with what to grow. So many strains and so little time! I'm on my 6th or 7th grow now and still have trouble figuring out what to grow. My current grow is Super Lemon Haze and White Widow (Greenhouse seeds). The Widow (left) had a hard time germing and I only got one to pop out of five. The SLH seemed to germ a lot better as I think they're fresher.

Also this site has some nice reviews of different strains. It's not complete but none the less interesting if you can cut through the "exagerations". lol http://www.kindgreenbuds.com/strainlibrary.html

High all,

I have a friend w/ the 99 plant limit. I'll post the Dr's name once I've checked it out.
I also have a few issues, migraines, suggested surgeries on both knees and lower back,
insomnia that I developed after a recent reconstructive hand surgery, ongoing pains
and a stomach that could corrode a steel hull, that should extend an amendment in
plant count for me.

Something I touched on with my attorney was the "gifting" of clones. It seems that
there is a loop hole the DA can choose to use. the ambiguity shows when a patient
takes the cutting before "gifting" them. At that very moment the patient is possibly
in plant count violation. Those cuttings are reflected in "your" (patient) plant count
until they are "gifted" to a separate location and or possession.

Options are:

Have the "giftee" take the cuttings and remove them from your location.

Have no other plants or fewer than your limit and do not exceed your limit while the
cuttings are in your possession or location.

The cuttings are reflected in your plant count. This info is gathered via evidence and
or testimony. So If I say "I'm with in my plant count and then I took cuttings" .... I
could be in violation even if for only a few days, minutes or seconds.

Anyway ..... I'm kinda new here. Nice to meet some locals ....
