Setting up grow room need some advice with lighting

Hey guys, first time grower here, ive been through the forums trying to get as much info as possible. I wanted to put what I had planned out there for you guys to comment on and let me know what could be improved on.

Ive got a 3'x3'x6' veg room, ive got a 250w mh setup from my aquarium I was going to use. I also have 5 cfl bulb fixtures with "Y" fittings so I could have up to a total of 10 CFL bulbs. The plan is to have 2 mothers and about 4 clones vegging at a time. The cfl's were going to be placed above and down between the plants. Here's a couple of diff cfl's i was looking at using.

First question is will this be enough light for veg? too much?
Second, I live in hawaii and have reg temps of 85deg during the summer. Will the heat from the MH not be worth having the light? Should I just go with an all cfl veg room?

I was going to use one intake and one exhaust fan as well as a small fan blowing in the room.

Anybody have a similar setup? Whats needed to keep your room cool with that amount of light.

you should get a 250w hps/mh conversion, if you got good ventilation then you should be fine but i needa get my 250w hps soon bro i got similar setup using cfl's to.

I cant seem to find a 65k MH bulb on either bulborama.com or 1000bulbs.com, they both carry the ones in the 4k range. Are these good for veg growth along with the 65k cfl's? or do i need to find a 65k MH bulb?

ya, mh seems to work best for veg growth while the hps are good for flowering. The reason I chose to go with the smaller cfl's is because they smaller wattage ones have a higher lumen/watt ratio. I could probably use that large 250w cfl in place of the mh if the heat from the mh is too high although I think the mh will put out more lumens per watt then the cfl you linked.

If i go with 7000lumens per sqft then i would need a total of 63000 lumen for my 3'x3' grow space!?! One 250w mh puts out around 25,000 lumen and the 30w cfl's put out 2100 per bulb and if I use all 10 bulbs then im still only sitting at 46,000 lumen giving me roughly 5,100lumen per sqft. Unless i threw a 1000w mh bulb or a couple 400w im not sure how i could possibly hit that 7000-10,000 lumen per sqft with cfl's without spending a boat load of cash.

The general consensus seems to be that one 400w mh bulb is sufficient for a 3x3 grow room for veg growth. If thats the case those probably put out somewhere between 35,000-40,000 lumens. My one mh is putting out 25,000 lumens so with 15,000 lumens from the cfl's I would be replicating a single 400w mh bulb right? Or does it not work like that when mixing bulbs?

yea bro that makes sense but the MH is way hotter then that 250w cfl i was talking to this dude at my local hydroponic store yesterday an he was telling me cuz i asked him about the mh and he said it would be much hotter and might as well go with that big cfl, or get a good ventilation system for that MH. so i just picked up a 125w

Ill see how that works and if I need more light I can always switch out a few lights.

i have took a computer and turned it into a stealthy growbox... i have reflective material inside. 2 fans ones exhaust and ones intake... i need help with the lights though i have them rigged but i dont have alotta money well none at all actually.. here are my light options-

* 2 60watt flouresent lights
* 2 100 wat bulbs standard house lights
* 2 60 watt bulbs
* 2 60watt bulbs with a yellow coating on them

can someone plz give me some pointers on witch of these light i should use, with the best yeild.. o and the growbox is around 1 1/2 feet by 1 1/2 feel PLZ HELP

* 60watt flouresent lights
* 60watt standard house bulb
* 100 watt standard house bulb
* and a 60watt bulb with a yellow outter coating

i need help on what 2 bulbs i should use out of these choices plz help
