Setting home thermostat to grow room?

Has anyone set there house temp to accommodate there grow room?

In the process of setting my grow tent up, I ran a few test on the temp in with the lights on vs temp in house. The grow room is 8-10deg warmer this is with out exhaust fans pulling the hot air out so I'm thinking of setting the house to whatever temp suites the grow room.

Second thought is to find a thermostat and external sensor putting the sensor into the grow room to control the house temp.

I definitely alter my ambient house temps to accommodate my grow space. Question though... Why would you be measuring temps with your extraction fan/s off? Are you not planning on using them during the grow?

Unless your running co2 you still need to exchange the air, so setting the temp of your home to help your grow room seems a bit illogical. Besides a 10 degrees colder house is a lot.

I will be adding a exhaust fan its on the way. I will test it again when it gets here. 10deg was with lights on and no air exchange so I'm guessing with the fan in will lower it a lot more. This is also without plants in the tent so I will have to see how that affects the temp and humidity.
