I had two seeds in one pot, and one turned out to be a male while the other ended up being female (go figure, just my luck lol).... they've already shown pre flowers so they're almost 6 weeks along, so what should I do to get the male out of there? I'm sure the roots are already tangled up.

cut the male at its base.

if you want to keep the male, take the rootball out of the pot like you were gonna transplant it, carefully separate the roots as best you can (you'll lose some roots inevitably), and repot them both in separate pots.

water them in and they should both survive.

i did this with a few tomato and pepper plants this year, they all turned out fine.

I dont wanna keep the male, I just wanted to make sure I got him out of there the right way, I didnt want to have to deal with the roots rotting or anything like that, since out of 7 plants I only ended up with 3 females, and I didnt wanna ruin this one.

nah, the roots won't rot. they'll decompose and be good food for the female.
