Well I broke down and spent $220 on a 10 pack of Jack Herer from Sensi. Im going to be growing this in a SOG indoors. I was wondering if anyone has any experience growing Jack Herer?

I'm assuming your doing hydro? See my post here:
https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/114244-why-i-have-attitude-seeds.html#post1387688

I can probably answer any specific questions for you. Love the strain!
Well, Im lollypoppin them in a perpetual harvest under 2K watts. I'm thinking I will pick the Indica Pheno and the Haze Sativa Pheno if I get one out of my ten... Lollypoppin the Sativa's I can just load up 50 every two weeks in a 4x4 Ebb&flow... The indica is going to take up more table space so maybe 35 per 4x4...
What did u feed them with? What temps did they like best? Any other tips u can thinkl of. Don't worry if u blab on about it. Suprisingly it is hard to find Jack Heads around here. When u find someone that tried it though, its almost always their fav strain...

I came across a clone of jack in southern california about a year back and grew a nice little indoor room of it around christmas last year. There was a really lot of it going around at the time, my friend was flooding the market with it, but he kept taking his a week early and drying it too fast, so it was swag and he sold it cheap as hell. I let mine go for 10 weeks and it came out really good, I used 2 1000watt hps and 1 1000w MH, flora nutrients in rockwool, kept the ppm around 1200 after they got big (water came out of tap at 400ppm) and I adjusted the ph to 5.8 nightly. I surprisingly got kind of sick of it in just a few months, and I couldent get a good price for it because the market was flooded with swag cheap jack herer, so I decided to grow a sour diesel clone my friend got ahold of instead of doing anymore jack, and the sour deisel blows the jack herer away. Ill search my computer for a couple pictures tomorow, I know i have a few good ones, but my advice is not to waste your money on jack herer seeds, they cost way too much, and it may be good tasing smoke but I got bored with it rather fast, and it was not as potent as it looked like it would have been. The jack did make alot of excellent hash with my silk sceen.

ROFLOL....
I actually have a great plug for Sour D, I love that shit too, but sorry, it's not even in the same book as Jack Herer, more or less on the same page.
I highly doubt u had the REAL Jack... I'm not here to argue with someone who got a clone of some "supposed" Jack Herer, and claims SourD is more potent, that would just be a waste of my time and yours. Jack Herer has already proved itself around the world as being one of the (if not the) most sought out strain ever to touch earth. I will believe the judges at the CC who voted this shit in as a winner 4 years in a row over u... No offense but please don't preach that BS in my thread. It's not even close to the truth...

At $22 a seed, why not grow out 5 of them then pick a decent mother to make into a bonzai? Seriously I wouldn't just use those seeds at at once...

I used an Ebb and Flow system also. A 4X4 flood tray filled with pumice (lava rock) for 15 clones. The clones were vegged and rooted in rockwool cubes and placed in the lava rock to prevent movement and turnover. Flowered under a 1000 watt HPS until finished. Some took longer than others (different Sativa phenos). Intially I had trouble keeping the temps down (88-92), this caused slowed development. After some brainstorming we got temps down to 78-82 during 12 on and noticed much improvement. Start light on the nutes, doesn't seem to need high concentration. pH around 5.9-6.1 worked great. Used General Hydroponics Flora Series (given to me by another gardener), it worked great.

EDIT: I forgot to add that I had one plant that hermied, one on one branch though. Kind a strange. Luckily we caught it and were able to remove it, cut the entire branch off to be safe. I have heard that Jack has a tendency to hermie if it is under stress, which in my case I believe was temps intially being too high.

The gardener I got the those clones from started from Sensi Seeds orginal so it wasn't one of the cheap knock-off Jacks. The gardener also had a hermie problem with one grow (few plants). That occurred during the one of the first couple batches over 7-8 years ago (using SoG). The gardener has been perpetual harvesting ever since then without problems, pretty much mastered it. The gardener also does Sensi's Afghani #1 and Sensi's Hashplant in different set ups the same way.

I have yet to come across my pictures but the "supposed" jack herer clone i came across was the same clone thats been alive here in san diego for the last 10 years. My dad used to gurrila grow it after he smuggled 3 packs of jack herer back from amsterdam in the 90s. he gave a clone of it to his friend who grew it indoor for the last decade and last year i started my own indoor operation and was given a cut of this decade old plant. Im not here to argue or put down jack herer, It just got bored with it. Its really all I smoked for about 6 months, almost anything gets boring after that. And the Sour Diesil clone is definatly more potent, but the jack was more resinous, made better hash, and was a bigger yeilder, but I cant get the clone anymore because my friends mother plant died while he was on vacation.

I dont know about that... Jack herer is relatively a new strain it might have been around in the early 90's MAYBE at the earliest. They took the 3 greatest strains ever and made this jack. That is why it is so spectacular. Its citrus, leomony, sour, spicy, all mixed its like taking trainwreck, white widdow, sour d, citrus k.o., snocap, northern lights and skunk then you mix all thoes flavors and get jack. Simply amazing.

If I'm not mistaken Sensi released the original Jack Herer strain in or around 1994 after many years of breeding. That was the first year it won a Cannabis Cup. I haven't heard anything about it ebing around before that. Most definitely wasn't around in the 80's like GHS claims with their rip-off version.

I know for a fact jack herer was around in the mid 90s. i have a sensi seeds cataloug my dad brought back with the seeds. Jack herer is very nice and very different from any other plant ive smoked, it looks totaly nuts, the calaxes get so huge its crazy, and extremely orange hairs, but from what ive smoked and grown, the sour diesel is just more potent. but ive had people tell me they liked the jacks taste more. Ive just allways been a sour diesel person, and I think what they charge for jack herer seed is fucking ridiculous. they are both in the same league, its what your prefer.

Just as I a,m not here to put down Sour D. I love the Sour. I buy it here all the time. Even if I have my own shit I will buy a bag every couple weeks... I have a Strawberry D'Light (Strawberry Cough X SourD) plant going right now. It's from Sagamartha. They are sending me another ten pack thru Attitude any day now..
All I'm saying is Sour D is great smoke, Jack Herer is Legendary Smoke. I honestly don't think I could get sick of it. That is actually the main reason I bought this stuff. i smoked it for a month straight and it got me as high on day 30 as it did on day 1... It is notorious for people coming back to it time and time again...

U say that ur friend grew it for a decade, but before u were saying this guy didn't know how to grow it proper so it was shwag Jack Herer?? WTF Ur telling me after a decade he couldn't figure it out, when u did after one grow?...
I have learned that when 1 & 1 don't make 2...
2 & 1 isn't going to make three. Your story just doesn't add up.

My friend is one of those guys that people on here would hate. He grew this strain, among other for 10 years+. he has probably only smoked a quarter pound of his own weed. he is all about production. He has people come in and trim his weed for him, and then hes only drys it for about 3 days tops and then he sends it to LA in bulk, usually 10+pounds at a time. just because hes been growing it forever dosent mean he knows how to do it, like I said he dosent smoke his own weed, he buys weed from me and other people who grow it well. Yes Jack herer is legendary, its won many cannibis cups, but when was the last time you have seen it win one? its old news. And Im done with this thread, arguing the existence of what I held in my hands and smoked, with people thats cannot do the same is useless. I know you all think jack herer is this UNGODLY strain, and it is good, very good, very different, very unique, but paying $22 a seed is not worth it when you can get a clone of somthing you know EXACTLY what to do with and how it will act, and it will cost less.

Well hopefully these babies pop! The first seed opened up after just over 36 hours... Everytime I get 100% germination I get strikes within 24, so probably won't be that good of a rate with these. Lately Sensi is known for a bad rate... I'm wondering if i should bump the temp up to 85F. I followed someones advice of 75-80F.... Any suggestions? or should I just relax and chill the fuck out and let nature take it's course?...

Dude, your going on my ignored list if u keep preaching this BS.. Obviously u don't know what ur talking about. Jack Herer was retired from competition after winning the cup four times in a row, so other strains could have a chance... If u want to grow from clone go ahead, I'm looking for certain traits and clonong my own... Get off your fuckin high horse, Sour D is weak compared to Jack, and unfortunately u will never have the experience to find out the truth with that attitude. I Smoke SourD all the time!!! Grown purely organic, and the taste is amazing, but the high is forgetable...
You're making yourself look more stupid every reply u make... I'm setting up a poll right now and we will let RIU decide what is a better strain... I will post the link for it.
