Sensi Skunk, Thai Super Skunk from Seed with Issues

Can everyone please take a look at these and tell me if they are ok.

the Thai super skunk clearly has issues... :-(

not holding my breath with the Thai skunk. they were free seeds but it's a bit painful. has anyone had anything like this happen before. i only just read another thread that mentioned NOT to use any pre germination methods, and i did. oh well. you live you learn. i think this has caused the distorted growth.

2 sensi skunk are looking ok but i'm interested in opinions pls. I think i can clearly see differences between these 2 healthy ones:

I'm a little worried about the curling of the leaves on this one and it is actually a really light color green especially the new growth. does anyone know what lvery light coloured foliage (not yellow, very light green) is caused by?

This one is doing fine... my favourite:

Can you see that one of the sensi has thin jagged leaves and the other has wider, more rounded leaves.

I'm thinking i have one that is more indica dominant and one which is more sativa dominant. Any thoughts on this ?

Now all i need is for them to be girls. :bigjoint:

Here is the other Sensi Skunk which didn't have a very good start to life. it is an inch and a half shorter than the others due to it ripping one of it's own baby leaves off during birth. This stunted it severely but it seems to be hanging in there now.

i can only hope the thai super skunk makes it as these other 2 don't look good for a week and a half:

i've covered up those holes since the photo.

anyway... thanks for reading hopefully someone can shed some light on these for me.

anyone have experience with Sensi Skunk?

anyone got anything to add?

the 1 Thai skunk has gotten worse. looks like it really is going to die. the stem thinning has continued right up to the leaves and now the leaves themselves are starting to shrivel as if they are dying. oh well....

but surprisingly, one more of the TSS popped last night so maybe this one will be a little better. not holding my breath.

I gave the Sensi Skunk their first feed of nutes yesterday and so far today there seems to be no edverse reactions. leaves are the same colour and at least on the indica plant, its leaves are reaching for the sky.. i was thinking it could be a bit early for nutes but the baby leaves were turning yellow so i thought it must be about time. i'm also use coco coir soil so it should be fine after 2 weeks.

i've been keeping my PH at around 5.8 - 6.0 and i used half strength nutes. Thrive was the brand.

stop watering so much those plants looked suffocated. Water every 4 days and see what happens, also no more nutes for the next watering.

ok guys thx. i don't think i've been overwatering. i try to keep it to a minimum but the coco coir holds water for so long i don't really have to water more than once a week...if that.

maybe the coco isn't drying out quick enough under the CFL lights.

they don't give off very much heat so the soil takes quite a while to dry.

i will definately hold off on the watering and the nutes for a while longer. thanks for the responses.

I bought some Super Skunk seeds and germiated 10, 5 germinated, 4 survived, 3 were males, and the last one is very short and 2 weeks into flowering it has no bud sites on it. I'm new at hydro and maybe I did something wrong but I also germinated 10 Bubbelicious at the same time and they all sprouted. 6 are female and doing beautifully. Very good strain for beginners fo sho.

hey.

i'm using a T8 fixture with:

1 x 20W 18000K Power Glow
1 x 20W 18000K Aqua Glow

and have 1 24W 6500K Cool Daylight which seems quite sufficient for veg.

the 18000k is full spectrum and is awesome ffor clones and seedlings. it's only since my mother plant has been repotted into a 5gal that i needed the extra light. although i know if i had more light they would grow faster as i can see plenty of dark spots

hey chitown.
yeah mate i am only new to PH but had just begun learning about it when i planted these seeds. i PHd to 6.0 so i think that should be ok for rockwool.

the only thing is i only just learnt about testing the runoff is as important as testing whats going in. so i have no idea what the ph of the runoff was.

just yesterday i did a proper PH'd flush of the SS with problems. i am using coco coir so after doing some runoff tests it seems i have to have my water PHd to 5.2 to get a runoff of 6.0.
i could probably even go to 5.0 in aiming for 5.8 runoff?

anyway, i really hope this is the problem. most troubleshooting guides i read point to correcting the PH first off and i had no idea about runoff until reading a tutorial a few days a go. hope it works.

im pretty sure your t8 is tottally off the chart when it comes to useable light spectrum for ya plants if 6400k is veg and 2600k is for flower then isnt full spectrum about 4100k ?? so 18000k is useless
id say thats why your having problems an also dont worry about the run off ph when using coir just ph your water an feed an then flush the plants every 10 days as coir holds nutes so your run off will get higher an higher until you flush
