Sensi Skunk #1 Harverst and Dry.... Hay #1??? (PICS, Plz Help)

What's going on everybody?

Well I finally have harvested my three Skunk #1 Autos from Sensi Seeds over this past weekend. I tried off most all of the leaves and sugars, made some awesome bubble hash tonight. Anyways, they have been hung up and drying for three days today, the room they are drying in has plenty of air movement and a fan bouncing air off the wall refracting back to the drying buds. As you may know, Sensi Skunk #1 is possibly the most gnarly smelling bud out there, and I have been fighting that for the past two months. I have been having to run my dehumidifier while they are drying and the RH stays between 51-60 with dehumidifier on, but I am afraid I am drying them too quickly. The room temp is between 70-77. Well anyways, I went out to check them today, and most if not all of the smell has gone, they are beginning to dry, the stems still bend a ton, almost green still. It kind of smells like the dreaded Hay.....

Does this set up sound right o you guys? Is the smell supposed to subside and get that Hay smell after three days of drying, I decided to cut the dehumidifier off for a day, so I will see whats going on tomorrow. I will probably start curing in another 5 or so day, a few of the buds seem to be slowly getting a little drier on the outside, just really worried about the hay smell. I am going to be following the "Perfect Cure" thread, so once I get a few weeks of cure under my belt using that method should that amazing Skunk #1 smell come back or am I fucked? Please let me know what to do, I really hate to have come this far and my bud smell like shit. Please give me a hand guys, let me know what I can do better and I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks very much for your time guys, +REP for responses.

Anyways, here are the pics.... Please let me know what you guys think, should have a dry weight here by next week.... Anyways.... HIT ME! Thanks brothers!!

you want the stems to snap when you bend them but not break usually around 5-7 days for me
and the grass smell goes away with a good dry and cure
the buds oils will slowly break down and terpenes will release over time
also the cure is really a key element in potency in my opinion

like i make a batch of BHO as soon as dry the reclaim of this is always 10 times or so better then the first dab
and the cured bud BHO is always the better out of the 2
so clean what ever your going to smoke your initial bubble hash you made cause the left overs will be so much better
i have a big bag of trim i run for BHO some of its 6 months or more old and killer stuff mixes of all trim from multiple harvest of 10+ strains

So how do you think they look? If you had to guess what would you think that total yield would be (dry)? three days of drying. It is definitley Sensi Skunk #1 dominant from the auto side of things, they did a great job on this strains proving sensi seeds is top notch genetics in the auto industry, the NL's look beautiful as well...

I made some killer bubble has tonight, the 43u and the 25u actually produced the best results.

So it is normal for it to smell like this at the stage in drying as long as I do the cure right?

hell i dunno hard to judge
if you figure a 1/4 of wet weight then you wont be dissapointed after cure when you weigh it up again
aslong as your harvest wasnt early then the grass clippings smell should slowly go away just be sure that there good and dry before you jar them up or the mold will get it

Harvest definitely wasn't early maybe a day or two late actually. Just really wirrued about this hay smell. Hopefully this is normal abd will go away.

Okay, so this is pretty normal for them to be losing their smell and getting the hay smell while they are drying?

What is the absolute MAX temp for drying, the temps in my dry area vary from 70-80 F MAX, today was really hot, so will the next two days, so 80 is my max temp during mid day, and it drops to low to mid 70's at night.... My RH is between 50 and 60% constantly and I have plenty of air moving around the entire room, no direct light hittin the girls either, just some slight refracting light from the NL's still going.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think, and here is another pic or two....

Thanks very much Tek for all of your help, it is greatly appreciated!!

Breeder harvest times? No, I chopped after looking at the trichs and I was at about 30% amber and the rest cloudy. If I squeeze the buds the smell is still there, but it has that hay smell too. What's the best indication that they are ready for jarring?

I am following the "perfect cure" thread, so I cut all the buds off of two plants today and put them in jars, the RH in the jar is around 69% though, so I will probably take them out or leave the tops off for one more day, but the outside of the bud seems pretty dry. The stems do not snap but they do bend at a 90 degree angle pretty well, I am really just afraid of over drying them....

So I got a dry weight for two of the plants....

Plant #1 = 89.6g
Plant #2 = 75.4g

*** Might dry out a little bit more, may lose another 3-5 grams off of each. Don't really know yet.

So 3.2oz off of one, and 2.7oz off of the other, which I am EXTREMELY pleased with. Going into this auto grow, my goal was to pull 1 oz off each one for a total of 6oz. Already with only two plants cut and dry I have pretty much reached my goal, so I am ecstatic. Now to just get rid of this hay smell and I will be even happier, if you pinch the buds though you can def still smell the skunk, just gotta wait for all of the chlorophyll to burn off..

Tek, you made some pretty good guesses man!!
