Senator Sanders, in his own words

Unfettered capitalism is not working out very well, in case you haven't noticed.

Communism, unlike whatever Fix News might tell you, is government ownership the means of production. No one is suggesting that.
Sanders's office has yet to release the details of the plan's funding, but previous large-scale projects proposed by the Vermont progressive have involved ending tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations.

Yet another unfinished unfunded unsupported bill. This is a great example of why Sanders cannot truthfully be called a progressive. It's a liberal idealistic concept and an embarrassment to the Cult of Sanders.

I know you can't understand this but why would anybody work hard doing a job that is guaranteed? Why should they even show up? They can't be fired. I'd be more in support for a guaranteed minimum income. At least people could spend their time doing what they want instead of "public works". Ugh that sounds extremely dystopian.

Why are you afraid to answer a question regarding this bill that you are defending?

To repeat:

I question the logic behind this bill.

Why would anybody work hard doing a job that is guaranteed? Why should they even show up? They can't be fired. At least people could spend their time doing what they want instead of "public works". Ugh that sounds extremely dystopian.

COMMUNISM!
Bernie is no communist.

He does have a tendency to release half-finished legislation. You call that Progressive. LOL

tty is a lightweight and descends into trivial insults when he can't answer a question. So, I'll ask you. What's so good about this bill? Why would anybody work hard doing a job that is guaranteed? Why should they even show up? They can't be fired. I'd be more in support for a guaranteed minimum income. At least people could spend their time doing what they want instead of "public works". Ugh that sounds extremely dystopian.

Lol

Talking about yourself again, I see.
I said that to Pad, in case you can't follow a link.

But, now that we are having a civil discussion again,

Why do you support Bernie's bill? Why would anybody work hard doing a job that is guaranteed? Why should they even show up? They can't be fired. I'd be more in support for a guaranteed minimum income. At least people could spend their time doing what they want instead of "public works". Ugh that sounds extremely dystopian.

I support getting universal healthcare, which means throwing the entire vampire industry of health insurance into the dustbin of history where it belongs.

Bernie's bill would cause Democrats to cede control of the house to Republicans. That's not very progressive. Not progressive at all. It won't further universal health care coverage either.

Here's Bernie's plan to guarantee every American a job at a living wage.

I'm sure it won't be popular either.

@RIUhistorian

Let it be noted that no answer to these reasonable questions was given.

I think tty just realized he'd have to get a job too.

Right. Because the way things are now is so much better for everyone.

Why not just vote Republican? You ARE a neoliberal, why try to hide it?

So, what's so good about Bernie's bill? As with the medical bill, it doesn't have a price tag. Then there is the question of how it would work. Why would anybody even bother to show up much less do a good job it the job were guaranteed?

Why not a guaranteed minimum income? Wouldn't that be better?
