"Over the years in the Senate, he developed a reputation for fierce independence. He disagreed with his party’s view on harsh criminal penalties for marijuana possession. Nolin was chairman of a Senate committee that in 2002 called for the legalization of marijuana."

"He said he had a rare cancer at the entrance of the pancreas and that he had undergone surgery and chemotherapy. He said the tumour had become smaller and he was part of a research program in which he took a “potion of pure organic oil” three times a day.

too bad he didn't try to use cannabis for his cancer...i will back up. i don't know if he did but if someone in my circle of friends or family has cancer, i WILL talk to them about RSO
