Selling my car, now I can build my grow box.

I already have an idea for my box. It will actually save room in my bedroom as well, as the top of it will have shelves to hold some books, dvd, and cd cases.

The floor room will be 2x3. I will be LSTing, and maybe topping, but I was wondering how many plants I would be able to grow in this area. I was hoping 3, but I'm thinking that I may only be able to limit myself to 2 good plants.

If there is 21 cubic feet, how many CFM will I need? I've already read that I need around 4,000 lumens per square foot, which means I'll need a total 24,000 lumens. I'll be using CFL's, and the light fixtures I have use 60W max lights, which means I have to buy more 42W, that puts out 2,700 lumens each, instead of being able to buy the 65W that puts out around 4,000 lumens each.

So I'll need 9 lights and that will give me just a little over the 4,000 lumens per square foot. That means I'll be having 378 Watts in 21 cubic feet.

I also bought some reflective roofting paint, it is white. Would that work good to paint the inside of the wood for the plants?

hey things are tough all over, maybe he just doesn't need a car, I don't I walk everywhere, I have a motorbike but that's purely cause I love the machines.

you worry about your own hustle.

When they say 60w max its for the indescent rating not the cfl rating bro you should be fine with that. Go pick you up some build a lamp things. When I was using cfls its what I used and they can hold up to 300w easy.

I'm guessing you don't get very far in life by being an ignorant dick. I own(ed) two cars, and I work 204 hours a week. My check automatically goes into my savings, where I'm saving up to move 7 hours away. As in, buying a house. Now that I sold my car that has been doing nothing but sitting and costing me around $50 a month for insurance, I have cash to have fun with that won't ruin my plans of moving. Oh, and if I was going to be selling a car just to grow weed, don't you think I'd be buying something that would allow me to grow more than 3-4 plants? Go back to school, and take a class on general knowledge or simple logic.

Now, for the people that's actually willing to help.

The light fixture came from Lowe's. It holds 6 bulbs, "Max 60W Type G80". So are you sure that means I could use a 65W CFL and not have to worry about coming home from work and seeing a fire truck in my parking lot?

I had a picture already of my design, but I changed it just a little bit since then. I'll try to draw another one up soon. Tonight I'll be getting exact measurements so I can go to Lowe's tomorrow and get the wood, and get it cut there to save me time/messing up, so I can get home and have it drilled together rather quickly. I prefer not to give anyone time to see me cutting holes in it for the intake/exhaust and painting the inside of it with the white reflective paint.

If I was going to do that, I'd sell the car and buy a shell(which means no engine/trans) which could be bought for around $500. I was actually thinking about doing that, placing a junker out somewhere and run a drop cord out to it, with it under the ground of course, and just tint the windows with 5% and then put black plastic behind it so no light would make it's way out.

Yeah, you'd think with a 8.5 day straight work week you'd be able to afford not to sell your car and buy a nice grow.

But where would he find the time working 8.5 days a week?

Oh hmmmm I'm talking about build a lamp packages. They are for people who like making there own living room lamps etc.... Its just the socket for a lamp with the push in out switch and a cord. You just don't put it through a glass lamp. It can then hang from the top of the grow box and you can add the y splitters to add more than one light per fixture. And yes I'm sure I ran with cfls for a year before turning to HID.

He has TWO cars, last time i checked you can only drive one at a time so he DOESN'T need the other one, since it's costing him to pay for the insurance he Saved money and made money by selling it. He probably want's a Small micro grow to keep it simple and have less of a chance to get caught... that's my guess anyway, good luck man. Let us know how it goes
