Seedsman White Widow, Big Buddha Blue Cheese, and G13 Pure Gold Grow

This is my first grow journal and I'm getting a late start on it. Currently I'm growing 5 Big Buddha blue cheese, 3 Seedsman White widow, and a free G13 Pure gold that I got with my order. All seeds were feminized.

My flowering space is 4'x4'x6' box that I built in one of my spare bedrooms. Looking back I would have gone bigger since I have the space, but the area now is good enough to supply my girl and myself, oh and my parents too:) I have a veg/mom/clone area that is in the closet in that room. It's about 2'x4'x4', it's a pretty sloppy area, but I plan on rebuilding it a little better when win the lottery. My light is a 600w hps/mh with a digi balast and 4" air cooled hood that I got on ebay for $160! It was an auction that was mislabled that I found. I have a squirrel fan attached to my light via 4" dryer hose to cool the light. My carbon scrubber is the 6"inline fan/filter combo that I got off HTG, I will be hooking it up to my light, but I haven't had a chance to go to the hardware store since I received the fan/filter.

The soil I am using is FFOF with a 25% perlite mix for drainage. My nutes during veg were BMO veg nutes left over from the last grow. For flowering I decided to use FF nutes(Tiger bloom, big bloom, and chaching) just so I can compare and see what I like better. Tap water is my only source of water, so I let it sit out a day before I use it. I unfortunately have had ph issues with it, but don't have mula for a RO unit yet.

Ok, so as I said earlier, I got a late start making this journal. As of today 8/05/09, the plants are 26 days into flowering. So a quick recap of what happened up to now. I germ'd using jiffy pellets in a humidity dome. Veg'd them under 6 42 watt daytime CFLs until they were 14-18 inches. At about the 6th node or so they were topped. Then came 12/12. Buds started forming, I started have good dreams, and all is well. Here is some of my quick thoughts on each strain:

Blue Cheese: Very strechy(compared to what I'm used to), all but one grew about 2.5 to 3 times their height. So 34-50 inches. Buds are forming a little slower then the other strains, but they have very good alternating growth and should harvest a bunch. It will just be a week or two behind.

White Widow: Holy Crap!! I love my WWs. They are good height, they didn't stretch too much. I topped the plants once and it looks like I'm just going to have branches full of long, white, colas:)

Pure Gold: I'm very happy with this strain. It's growing like a typical indica, but it has more trichs then any other plant. Yes, even my white widows. It is a little smaller, due to pot sizes in early growth the plant was put into flower a little smaller then the others and it was not topped.

Here is some pics of everything.

Today marks day 32 of 12/12 and things are coming along nicely. The White Widows and Pure Gold are at least a week or 2 ahead of the blue cheese. I'm thinking about 50-55 for the indica's and maybe 63 or so for the BC.

I'm have some minor nute burn on a few of my plants and the only reason I can think of is because of FF Cha-Ching. Everything I use is at half strength and as soon as I added that I got some issues. It isn't too bad though, so I'm going to continue on the same route I'm going.

As you can see by the pics, the pure gold continues to have more trichs than the white widows, but the yield is going to be less. Either way though, I'm happy with my free strain.

Here is some pics of whats happening.

Ya, so far i love them the only problem is i suck at cloning. So I didnt get any clones of the bc, only the other 2. I've been doing a lot more reading and learning so I'm going to try again soon. Hopefully it works.

Also recieved freebie from Attitude and I'm on day 28 today with similiar looks just a few days behind yours. With a few more bud sets, but smaller with less Frost. I am under 220 wattts of Flouroscent with just PG and a LR2 from my first seed I developed from m/f Joint Doctor LR2.

You plants look nice and healthy. A few Questions
How tall is PG? Pictures can be deceiving.
What are your room temps? night and day?

Keep up the good work can't wait to see and compare your results to mine. Interested to see if flowering time is as short as the description says.

Okay just started the PG's day and I was wondering you mention Pot size, but not what size the PG is in?

Also I took a cutting end of 2nd week of flowering off the PG. It hasn't died yet but it is in soil so I don't know how or if it is rooting yet. It is nice and green and placed in grow room with 2liter bottle with no bottom, top off w/label on to limit direct light and hopefully create a greenhouse effect.

Looking real nice. Germing some seedsman feminised white widow here too. How long did you veg for and what size containers are they in now? Website says 8 weeks for flower, what do you reckon after seeing yours?

I Have my PG in a 2 gallon pot. It's in the smallest pot since I ran out of larger 5 gallon pots, but it still reached about 34". I started flowering around 12". I water them every other to every 3 days with nutes for the 2 gallon pot every 3 waterings.

Room temps during the day are around 80, and about 65 at night. I don't have any way to control RH, but it's usually around 50%.

Your cloning method will probably work, my PG was pretty easy to clone. Nearly as easy as the WWs I have.

I think that covers everything you asked, let me know if I missed something. Overall though, I'm very pleased with my freebie.

I'm not sure how long I veg'd for because I usually go by size. My WWs were from 14-17" when I started flowering and now they are 34-40". All but 3 of my plants are in 5 gallon pots. The rest are in 2 gallon ones I had laying around. I'm thinking they will finish around 8 weeks. I don't have too many grows under my belt, so it's difficult for me to say exactly. If I had to guess though, they might even finish a little early. It's about 5 weeks now and a good amount of hairs are turning brown and the buds are bulking up nicely. So we will see what happens.

EDIT: I'm going to post some more pics tomorrow so everyone can see the progress.

Sweet strains! I've been wanting to grow some OG Kush and chiesel. Along with about 50 other strains too:) Too many awesome choices, I think my next pick will be from TGA though.

Update: Here are pics from week 5 flowering. The BC smell super delicious, thick, rich, with cheese and blueberry undertones. It makes me want to set up a tent in my grow cab:weed:.

BC- Great looking plants, I have 2 that are way under performers. My runt is tiny, with tiny buds all over. Even the main colas are small. The other 3 BC are fantastic though, large dense buds. The BC pics attached are of one of the better plants.
P8140143.JPGP8140145.JPGP8140146.JPGP8140147.JPG

WW- Every WW has at least 2-4 main colas. It is a fantastic plant that is moving along nicely and should easy be an 8 week strain. Not quite as dense as the BC, but much, much larger buds forming. I have 3 of these and they are all performing about the same.
P8140156.JPGP8140154.JPGP8140152.JPG

PG- As I said before, I'm pretty happy with this plant for free. It should finish around the time as the WWs. It will be a little less yielder, but looks and smells great.
