What do you mean? From seed planting it, walking away for 3 weeks, then coming back? is that what you mean?

Or sprouting then leaving it?

Indoor i dont think so, outdoor diff story

Either way three weeks of not watering, no medium out there will retain that much water, if you have a hydro system that is plug and play and you just set the timers, diff story

What you working with, set up etc or if your outdoors what climate etc

Well I have both hydro and soil... I was thinking of putting the seed in the pot with the soil and water(since it doesn't need a lot compared to as when it gets older)
having the lights on in the grow room with ventilation.. ideas?

With a drip system it is entirely possible. You will however end up with a few problems. 1. You may have a nutrient deficiency when you come back. 2. It might grow too close to the light and burn (assuming it's an indoor grow). 3. She will be VERY lonely and may suffer depression. Singing at least 3 tracks from your favorite CD is the only cure unfortunately.

I would like with a drip system yes. But your biggest issue will be you will either leave the lights to close and burn her to death or you will keep the lights too far away and stretch the shit out of her. If you have a drip system you could rig up 3 sets of lights on timers and each week kick out the lower lights so that in week 2 when it's grown close to the first set they are off and the second are kicked in. It'll take some work/ fudging but you could do it, you will then just have to worry about nute deficiency.

How bad can it get with nute deficiency?
Seedling don't need any nutes for the first 1-2 weeks.. would another week be great damage?
