ya it does just one of them works lol i might just buy a new one would this lamp be better with the wider shade?
The one you have is fine or that one is fine. You just need to get a CFL bulb 4-6 inches from them for the first 2-3 weeks until you move them outside. Doesnt necessarily have to have a shade of any sort, though they help a bit. The combination of the window sun and a bulb running 24 hours will be enough.

How big are your pots? Plants get REALLY big outdoors.....

Funny both of my white widow seedlings did this. I let them open up some and used tweezers to pull it off very gently.

I found two different bulbs the Phillips one didn't say 6500k on them what ones think be best or both good
Both will work just fine. You are just supplementing the sun because windows dont get enough light for plants but its a good start.

ok sweet the phillips didn't say 6500k on it but says everything else phillips is prob a better brand, and do I need just 1 lamp on both or two lamps so they each have there own? im guessing 1 lamp is enough?

1 should be fine man you are overthinking it, you are just adding a little booster of light.

Some people can get away with sprouting in a window, especially if it is south facing. But a bit of extra light usually does a lot of good.
