I spent last fall traveling the Himalayas. In Bhutan Marijuana grew everywhere. I managed to get back some good looking seeds and now have 5 seedlings growing. My goal would be to hope for a female plant out of one of these seedlings turns out female so I can mother it and have my own Himalayan strain. What I want to know is if it is possible at all to help make sure i get a female plant, And if I do get a female plant, will people be interested in having Bhutanese Buds? Any help from anybody would be great, opinions, informations, questions, anything.

Help me out!

My advice : Just grow as normal and seperate out the fems.
When you say will people be interested in Bhutanese Bud? Why not? If its good.

hey there.. how many seeds did you bring back?
If you get a male, why not let it pollinate your female to get more seeds?
Or use a male's pollen to pollinate some strains that your friends grow..

Spread those genes out a little..

Hey man. I am going to Bhutan myself this fall after Cannabis Cup. How was the smoke scene and how was the bud quality. Sativa? Indica? What month of the year did you go? Did the seeds look ready or would you have liked them a little more mature?

Any pics (plants or Bhutan) would be great.

You should grow out all of them and select the best male and best female. For the best male, go into your room a an hour or so before the lights come on (use a green flashlight or light bulb) and smell the males. The one that smells the strongest usually carries the highest THC genes. Once the pollen sacks really start to show on the males, snip them off and seal them in a plastic bag. Kill all males after you have harvested the pollen. Then take a small paint brush and pollinate all the females on some of the smaller bud sights.

This way you will have plenty of seeds and be able to pick out the strongest genetics, keep some seeds for a rainy day or to share, and have a great mother.

PM for more info. Good luck!

I had about 20 seeds picked from random plants on the ride of the road in Bhutan. At the time I wasnt really focused on what plants i was picking them from, so I didnt pay much attention to the size or whether it looked indica or sative.

I was there in early november. Bud grows everywhere, they feed it to the pigs. the kids out there sit around all day rubbing fresh picked buds between their hands to make hand rub hash, and then they go over to the river and hit a home made gravity bong. pretty sick, considering i had no idea what they were saying.

Out of the 20 seeds I got 5 to pop, and 4 to sprout. I now have four seedlings growing under a 200watt CFL in a homemade DWC system with a light veg solutions, and a pH of about 6.0-6.3

Two of them look great and are growing really quickly. Still to early to tell if they are female (at least for me). Any trips to help me tell early?

The other two seedling are pretty depressing. I have been nursing them for the last week or so. They havent had much growth at all, and little root growth. But they havent died, so I'm sticking with them as long as I can. This strain came from the wild so I'm hoping its pretty tough.

I've posted a couple pics, dont have a very good camera so I cant get great pics. But give me some feedback, info, thoughts, ideas on this shit. also any ideas of what i can do to help the two little seedlings. I appreciate everyones help! I would love to get this strain out to the people if I can get it going.

Two of them still looking great, though they must likely are male. I will be able to tell within a week or two.

The two little ones that were struggling have been revived. I have been feeding them just water with a pH of about 6.0-6.3. I have also put in a small amount of rhizotonic to stimulate root growth.

check out pics and give me some feedback

There is also a hindu clone and a g-13 plant that that i am either going to clone of breed
