Heyy GC! As many off you know I treated myself with a tent kit this week spent well over £300 the tent came as a bundle, But all the over additives like every bottle off Canna, Coco Soil, Yo Yo's for the lights, Plus a few other things,

My question is I germinate 4 seeds 2 Royal Cheese and 2 White Widow, All off them germed well apart from one where I had to take the helmet/shell off it myself sterilized tweezers lol Anyway the operation went well.

The seedlings are about 2 days old there's 4 in all, Question is how far away should they be from a 600w hps light??

Thanks Folks.

Far like five to six foot maybe more at a guess.

At the point they dont bend away from the light, wilt or yellow and pack on size everyday, you can tell that pretty easy :-)

Just grab a 6400K CFL if you can find one and put it 2 - 4" above the seedlings so they don't stretch too much. Flick them around with a finger-tip to toughen up the stems too. Gently at first then harder as they seem to be able to take more. Once mine have a decent start on their first set of true leaves I beat the crap out of them. They look beat up when I'm done and are begging for more!

If you have to use the 600 start at 24" away and move it down as they grow. Should be able to keep it 12" over the tops by their 3rd node. Keep some good air flow between the plants and the light and any old oscillating fan will do. Just don't have a steady stream of air blasting them around or they'll get wind burn and dry up. Aim a straight fan against the back wall so they just waver around a bit.

I do things different, keeps my plants greener than most though :-)
