Seedlings stunt growth...

Hello.

Doing my first grow and Im at day 15 and growth has pretty much stopped on both plants. Few days in a row Ive opened the tent and question if anything is happening. 1-2mm at best.

Looking close at the plant I can find a lot of tiny marks on the leaves on 1 plant but not the other. On the other it has weird growth on the leaf and I think its a weird shade of green to them both. Old growth feels really thin and papery, some got a "rough" texture to them.

15w Vero18 each
<80f
Soil with perlite
No feeding
Watered them 1.5l each yesterday without any run off
~3 gallon pots with 2 gallon soil.

I don't see anything particularly alarming about the plants...the marks are a bit funny but still, nothing I'd fret over...plants can get stunted for a ton of different reasons. How many 15w vero's do you have? That may be your problem, not enough light...but idk, gotta know how many watts of it you're running altogether.

Ok. I just found some thrips in the orchids, maybe its one of those who ran off.

Right now they have 30w in total, standing next to eachother in cold white and then I have 75w of warm white but not running. Either one of them or all running at once 30/75/105w.

It sounds like you need more light, man...the Vero COB Led is a very good brand, but you need either more of them or you need to use them as a supplementation to a cheaper light source like MH/HPS lighting. Or if you have the money, go ahead and invest in at least 3 or 4 more of those...pot plants need lots and lots of lights. Those marks could very well be thrips, but I know you will see far more growth with more light. How many plants do you have in there? Just the one?

Maybe kick it up to all 105w then? Its a mini grow so not that much space to work with and a mh/hps would output way too much heat for me. Warm white must be better than nothing even in this stage.

Oh absolutely, while spectrum is important, light is still light. I understand, the heat can be an issue for a lot of people. But at least you went straight for one of the top dog LED brands instead of some blurple! And yes I would pack as much light as you can in there. There is a formula for how many watts you need per square foot, let me find it and I'll post if for ya!

From Timbergrowlights.com: COB watts needed = Length (ft) x Width (ft) x 38
Just fill in the numbers of the dimension of your grow space.

Thanks. Right now Im on the money, 2.7x38 is 103w and Im at 105w.

However temps shot up thru the roof. Def see an increase in grow already however some leaves have raised themself on an angle and its showing slight V-shapw on the leaves. For now its only slightly and going to keep an eye on the edges if they start to curl.

Ambient is 29c and slightly hotter under the light. Trying to route intake air directly over thr plants and a fan.
