Anyone know why this is happening? Seedlings are about a week old and 29” under mars hydro sp250. they’re in black gold seedling mix. i lightly mist the soil 2x a day. water is pH’d to 6.5. temperature is 78-80 rh is around 63%

It's hard to tell exactly what is going on at this stage, but I'd quit with the misting. It's just not an efficient way to water. And watering on a schedule doesn't usually work too well in soil grows anyways. It ignores the impact the environment has on your mediums water retention. Slowly water the soil directly until you have a little run off. Let the cups dry out between waterings.

The leaves are curling because that is way too much light for them, they curl in their own natural way to get away from the light. I wouldn't keep that light on them for any extended length of time. A lower wattage light is definitely needed! How many hrs on a 24 hr schedule are you keeping the light on?

Also you are watering way too often. I'm speaking all from experience due to all the seedlings I've killed!!

I'd put your pH balenced water in a jug, for one, misting them doesn't get the water down to the roots where it needs to be. When you first plant your seedling, you wanna go ahead and dribble juuust enough water to where it's dripping out the bottom of the pot. After that, wait!!! Wait a few days, even if it's looking dry on the top the dirt down underneath is still wet (I got a pH meter to help with that!! The gauge will tell you how moist the soil is)

When it's getting dry that's when you then again dribble a bit more water into it. Remember!! Seedlings are super sensitive so every bit of water and light it gets counts!!
Hope I helped :)

I suggest some fans blowing around your space, the leaves are droopy still. The original droop was too much water. They have very small root systems and can drown from lack of O2. That was an early sign.

they get a gallon of water between the 5 of them, 2x a week. i do let it dry out. was definitely overwatering as seedlings. maybe i still am.

i should add that that last photo was taken 12 hours or so after repotting them.

this is my first grow. i do appreciate all the advice. ive got a lot to learn.

i have 2 6” fans blowing in the room 24/7. could the droopiness now be because of repotting them hours before that photo?

i can take another soon. lights come on in a half hour.

they still have a droop to them. i realized the light was too close so i raised it up. i will be careful with the watering. seems i am making a lot of rookie mistakes but will look at it as a learning experience.

thanks again for all the advice.
