most regular tap water has enough minerals to get you going for the first couple weeks or so. I usually sprout in soil which also contains a little bit or minerals and nutrients. I know coco is devoid of nutrients so im a little torn between staright water but

for now i would use water and in a few weeks i think it would be safe to use a nutrient solution at 1/2 or 1/4 strength.

I just popped some seedlings and moved them to promix which like coco is devoid of nutrients. Just as an expieriment and against what I had done in the past I let them go for 10 days with no nutes, they did nothing.....they grew nadda.....I hit them with 1/4 strength DM and they blew the fuck up.....so I would say once they have decent root structure hit them with 1/8-1/4 strength nutes... I don't agree with the whole no nutes for 3 weeks......not in a fert-less medium. In hydro people run low ppm nutes early on soil-less medium should be the same I would think.

same as that 6 days on some nice ones so dont want to feck up, have a kandy kush which is about 10 days infront of the others so was going to try that on a gradual basis see how she goes start weak and increase, what you think about 1ltr pots? would that be enough to take them throough veg or maybe 3/4 days before going into 11ltr pots and 600 hps and into flower, have them in fridge set up at mo with a 300w dual spec cfl, trying to get timing right as flowering in main tent at mo.

thanks again.

I usually go from 1 liter pots right to 7 gallon smart pots, but the nice thing with smart pots is that they air prune the roots so managing the root ball by multiple transplants is not necescary. If I was using normal plastic pots I would go from 1 liter at to 1 gallon at 3 weeks and from 1 gallon to my final container size 1 week before flower. Even tho I don't whole heartidly believe in transplant shock I would definitly give the girls a week in the container before flowering........do I make any sense?

you sure do sir...... thanks its just a space issue that i have at mo, was hoping to get away with veg in 1ltr and straight to 11ltr for flower as they are in fridge set up under 300w cfl and main tent has girls early in flower.....so may have to look at loosing frigo and replacing with a larger unit. right going to slap her booty now ....hve a good weekend, take care.
