HI . My question is quick.

i bought a 1000w led without thinking of seedling stage. and i have no budget left right now to go for cfls or anything . is it 1000w too much for seedling stage? what if i move it away far far from the plant ,does it work fine ?
do you think using something to block some of the light is a good idea?

Please tell me its doable .

Probably way way too powerful. I mean in nature seedlings only have the sun so I'm sure what you have crushes it. Especially if it's like hard core Mars and shit..... Probably should use an umbrella and block all but one led

T5 or even T8 for babies or seedlings. Wal Mart $10.97 for 2 bulb T8 (Lights of America) and $7.88 for two 6500K bulbs.

I'm guessing its not really 1000watts. What model?

I don't want to answer people who don't capitalize anymore.

Its a KingPlus 1000w LED Grow Light..brightness of this light is intense. It shows 174w on the wall but i assume thats how its suppose to be .

Yep. 174 watts at the wall. Way more powerful than natures weak ass sun. You might want to get a 1000w HPS like gavita and run it at 1100 watts just to give your plants a break from the LEDs intensity.

this is silly. i plugged my solar panel into the wall and it only said 34 watts. OPs light is like 5 suns, at least

It's fine.
Speaking of the sun, I thought my LEDs were bright. But as soon as I put my light meter outside to bask in the full sun, it went off the scales!! . However sun light varies a lot outdoors.

Wow, so much dickyness around here!
Like a few days ago with the "How many 3590 to = HPS".

There is actually no stupid questions, just too many people believing they are funnier than they really are. Sigh.
