Hey All,

So I just potted my germed seed into it's pot and was just wondering how moist the soil should be to give it a good start?

Thanks!

not soaking wet, just moist, usually i fill my pot with soil/perlite and then give it a good water but leave it to stand for a couple of days before i pop my seed in, i find it a good idea to do all that the same day i start germ'ing my seeds so after the 2 or 3 days it usually take me to germ the soil has the right moisture, after the seed pops i only water a tiny amount because i always just spray water on the leaves, often. i would pour in around half a cup of water if i was you, not a scientific amount i know!!

my first grow, im not really active here i am on another grow forum with a journal, anyway i used basic soil for seedlings and gering seeds from a local shop, 60% soil 35% perlite and just 5% vermiculite
havent popped yet but only planted em 36 hours ago and they say in soil the you might not see it for 2-5 days as the tap root is growing down before the stem breaks for the surface, least i hope thats whats keeping mine from coming up haha

hope i helped

the key is keeping the soil wet and moist i put mine under a 400w HPS and dried out two my autoflower seedlings (R.I.P).so water em and keep em under a CFL or like me put em under a HPS and water em the first time and them spray em with a water bottle once you see the top of the soil dry.
