Seedling question

So I have 2 seeds growing indoors. White widow. And one is growing straight and the other is kind of leaning. May not be nothing but I’m a newbie so ya. Ohhh and the one leaning was the one that had some brown on the root. I guess the question is, should I be worried?image.jpgimage.jpg

No. Just let it grow. If it gets really long and lanky and falls over, back fill with soil to cover some stem and support it.

Pull that seed husk off the one if you or it hasnt already.

Pull it off? I heard you weren’t suppose to touch it at all
yes, pull it off!

mist it lightly and wait 10 minutes and mist again then take a toothpick and gently prod it.

My grow thread has more specific guide with pics..see sig.

The brown is called, "damping off", and is one of many possible fungus/mold etc. that live in soil.

The brown on stem at soil level is an indicator of this.

If seed hull doesn't come off by itself in a day then damping off will occur between the cotyledons and rot and death will soon follow so got to get that hull off carefully.

Edit: the first pic hull I would leave alone though as first leaves have shown tips so opening should push hull off naturally. However, 2nd pic hull looks like it will need some help.

and don't worry about the leaning....won't have any effect further along....will lean towards light.

Thank you! But the two I planted with some brown on the root are growing so will it be alright? Or should I pull the plug?
